Debbie· October 25th, 2023Saw so much in a short time! Ten countries in 15 days! Had a very busy schedule to accomplish all we did, but it was worth it. Show moreTrip date: August 2023- DMDaphne De· July 27th, 2023The driver Gabo was excellent, polite and extremely helpful. The tour leader Rachele was good but she only messed up the seating arrangement. I like your seat rotation policy but it only started on the third day which meant we were seated at the back for a long time as the tour leader said she was busy and running late so could not do the seat allocation. Also a few couples were given the privilege of getting two seats each so we’re seated in the front of the coach for a while.Show more
Expat Explore Travel commented on this reviewThank you so much for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us.Trip date: July 2023 - WZWilliam John· July 7th, 2023Overall the tour was good, in that it covered a lot of Eastern Europe and the town guides were excellent. Brandem was a knowledgeable tour guide, but tended to go off at speed that left several older members behind. The coach driver Gabor was superb, helpful and did an excellent job. Munich is a city with excellent public transport connections. The Bento Inn [ the start and end of the tour] is about a kilometre from any of these and this makes life difficult with heavy luggage. It is remote from major restaurants and the path to the Metro is rough, poorly lit and through a semi industrial area. The night manager on the first night of the tour was totally incompetent. Most of the other hotels were excellent. It would be most helpful if city maps were provided especially for free days, clearly marking the meeting points. As it stood we had to walk up to a kilometre following the tour guide to allow him to point out the meeting point. This was hard given the speed he walked. The tour organisers should ensure that the tour guide has at all times a phone that works in all countries visited. This is necessary to deal with medical and other emergencies. This should not be the guides responsibility! Given these comments we enjoyed the tour.Show more

Daryl· June 12th, 2023Tour itself was great! Far less impressed with TourRadar as a booking agentShow moreTrip date: May 2023- JKJudith· June 11th, 2023Our guide Marty was simply the best as was our driver Kris who made traveling throughout Eastern Europe easy! Hotels were spotlessly clean - basic but we were quite comfortable and happy. Amazing group of fellow travelers - we had loads of fun. We would do another tour with Marty and Kris anytime. We saw so many amazing towns, cities, countries and sights - thank goodness we have photos to remind us of it all.Show moreTrip date: May 2023
Keith· June 1st, 2023I enjoyed the tour, good company, even the long days, Kevin our guide was great nothing was to much trouble for him, but he had his work cut out, what with one thing then another, food being served late, or not enough, rooms not ready, he had the patience of a saint, more information regarding what was there, as we all have different interests, mine is history so if there is a castle to see I would like to be able to see that, so if there is a funicular railway there I would have liked to have known, so I can make an informed choice to go or not as I know my capabilities. In that time frame we was given. One of our day guides in Prague wasn't up to much, for the price of a ticket to the castle which was ten Euros I would sooner gone in there than stop with him we had ten minutes or more toilet stop and we finished 30 minutes early, so to me and some others it was a waste of our valuable timeShow moreTrip date: May 2023

Asked on September 2nd, 2025I am interested in your Croatian & Eastern Delights tour for roughly June 2026 but was wondering what your price is for single supplement?

Asked on August 21st, 2025Are the optional excursions included in my tours or is it a separate price? Where do I Pre-Book on the optional excursions?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written August 2025Optional excursions are not included in tour price and can be booked separately. Most can be arranged with tour leader during trip, except Munich Food & City Tour which requires pre-booking 20 days before departure. Optional excursions range from €50-€125 and can be paid in local cash or credit card.

Asked on July 6th, 2025Quick questions on changing the room option and possible refund of the price difference: If I am going to reserve the spot as a solo traveler with a single room, as my travel partner is also figuring out things such as flight, visa, etc. But If I want later to pair with my own travel partner in a double room, can my booking get refunded with the price difference(single vs. double room)?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written July 2025Yes, it's absolutely possible to change from a single room to a twin-share room with your own travel partner later on, and we can refund the price difference for the single supplement as long as the change is made more than 60–90 days prior to departure. This gives us enough time to adjust the hotel arrangements accordingly. If you plan to go ahead and reserve your spot as a solo traveler now and opt for the single supplement upgrade for a private room, that's totally fine. Then, should your travel partner decide to join later, they'll need to make a separate booking. Once that booking is confirmed, just let us know and we'll help: Remove your single supplement upgrade, Pair you together in a twin-share room, Process the refund or adjust the pricing for the upgrade. Just make sure to send us both booking numbers when the time comes!

Traveler•Written June 2025My wife and I will be arriving a few days before the tour. This is the hotel where we will meet our tour leader for the orientation tour of Munich, correct?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2025That is correct. At this point, that is contracted as the Meet Up Hotel and where the orientation will take place. However, it is still subject to change (Though changes are rare at this close to the departure) but the Final Confirmation is through the Tour Leader Announcement Email that is sent 10-15 Days before the tour starts.

Asked on May 19th, 2025Could you list the number of days spent in each country please? By my count the trip spent 3 days in both Germany and Croatia. I read the rules saying if the trip spent equal amount of days in two countries, we should apply visa from the country at entry(Germany in this case). Can you confirm the number of days spent in each country please?

Traveler•Written May 2025Thanks. Just want to confirm. The Schengen Visa I get should be able to apply to all the countries on this tour, and I should be able to travel to all of them without needing additional visa, correct?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written May 2025Yes, I can confirm that a valid Schengen Visa will allow you to travel to all the countries included in your tour, provided they are within the Schengen Area. With a Schengen Visa, you may move freely between member countries without needing additional visas, as long as your visa is valid for the duration of your travel and includes multiple-entry permissions if required.

Traveler•Written June 2025I am likely to be a solo traveler joining the tour, how will you arrange hotel room for solo traveler like me? would I have a room to myself or do I have to stay in the same room with other travelers on the tour?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written June 2025For solo travelers like yourself, our standard rooming arrangement pairs you with another traveler of the same gender in a comfortable twin room, and there's no extra cost for that. If you prefer to have your own space, you can choose to upgrade to a private room by adding a single supplement when you book – this option is subject to availability, so we recommend booking early if that's what you'd prefer.

Asked on April 27th, 2025Can you please give me the names of the hotels we will be staying in on our trip.
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written April 2025At this stage, your departure is too far in advance for us to give you a confirmed starting hotel. Due to the fact that our hotels are subject to change, we do not provide inaccurate information beforehand to minimize any confusion that may be caused. We therefore suggest reaching out roughly 90 days prior for this information.

Asked on April 25th, 2025Is that alright (given the age range for the tour is from 10 to 75)?
Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written April 2025Yes, your father is welcome to join the tour as long as he is aware of the active nature of the tour and does understand the level of physicality that is required. We believe the best way to get to the heart and soul of a city is on foot, surrounded by the people and the culture. For this reason, we do walking tours through most of the cities we visit. Many of the cities you visit are vast and old, often with steps and cobblestones. Our walking tours can last up to 3 hours with plenty of opportunities to take photographs and soak up the history of these fascinating places, but you do require a certain level of fitness to enjoy your tour to its fullest.
