Your accommodation will be as follows: Simple hotels (4 nts, single or twin-share), participation camping (27 nts), permanent tented camp (1 nt), full-service camping (2 nts), guesthouses (2 nts, multi-share with up to 10 people), basic bush camping (2 nts), hostel (1 nt, multi-share with 3 people). You can find a packing list on the PDF that we shared. Visas will be required for some countries on this tour. Please see the 'Optional Extras' section of the PDF. You can also factor in gratuities, travel insurance and international flights which are not included.

Are the flights of and to the trip included in the price? Do I need to book them myself?

It ran smoothly for the most part (small exception for getting into Malawi--I feel that G could do a better job providing letters for visa applications so more travellers could get their visas ahead of time. Malawi is worth visiting). CEOs were really great! I do recommend that G reconsider allowing Kevin, a fellow traveller, on other G tours. His negative behaviour did impact my enjoyment of the trip (rude, inconsiderate, not following the guidelines of CEOs and safari guides, not participating in group camping).Show more

I've given constructive feedback here and there, but there is absolutely nothing to stop me doing it again in a heartbeat. Could spend a lifetime in the company of Wes, James, Arther and Leonard on a Lando - happily. *** one final piece of feedback I forgot re. the itinerary. I was excited to meet the local children in Kande (Malawi) at the local's home during dinner. However, this didn't happen, due to previous guest feedback, I understand. Please, please, please reinstate this - the children are not in bed like the previous guest wanted them to be, but instead just actively playing outside the gate. *** and another. The Kande Beach camp was lovely, but there were locals camped outside the gates/on the beach waiting to sell guests their fares/services as soon as they departed. While I understand this entirely, at times it felt a bit intimidating/predatory to leave the sanctuary of the camp to go to the village/relax on the beach. I don't want an end to Kande Beach at all, but it made the two days a bit challenging to relax.Show more

What exactly do the different accommodations (camping accommodations) mean and what do I need for them? Do I need any visa to enter the various countries apart from my passport if I am coming from Germany? What are the approximate additional expenses of the trip?

  Your accommodation will be as follows: Simple hotels (4 nts, single or twin-share), participation camping (27 nts), permanent tented camp (1 nt), full-service camping (2 nts), guesthouses (2 nts, multi-share with up to 10 people), basic bush camping (2 nts), hostel (1 nt, multi-share with 3 people). You can find a packing list on the PDF that we shared. Visas will be required for some countries on this tour. Please see the 'Optional Extras' section of the PDF. You can also factor in gratuities, travel insurance and international flights which are not included.

- Unfortunately we cannot offer you a visa application service. Whether you need a visa or not depends on your nationality and where you wish to travel. Assuming your home country does not have a visa agreement with the country you're planning to visit, you will need to apply for a visa in advance of your scheduled departure.
- Here is an indication for which countries you might need a visa. Please contact the local embassy for help applying for visas to these places.
Payment information
- For any tour departing before May 1st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after May 1st, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with G Adventures. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 45 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and G Adventures will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "G Adventures" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
Cancellation Policy
- Your money is safe with TourRadar, as we only pay the tour operator after your tour has departed.
- TourRadar is an authorized Agent of G Adventures. Please familiarize yourself with the G Adventures payment, cancellation and refund conditions.
