  Our Balkan Dream tour was very good. However and unfortunately the guide Iris from Zagreb to just before Dubrovnik was very scattered and difficult to understand because she talked in circles, changed to a different topic without finishing the first, did not answer people's questions (instead she answered what she thought they had asked). We gave up listening or asking, asked google instead. Plamen on the other hand (we joined his tour in Dubrovnik to Bucharest) was phenomenal!!! He is clear, succinct and extremely knowledgeable with a great passion for the Balkans. He took such good care of every person We would love to go on another tour with him!Show more

  Overall the tour was good but very fast paced and quite often as is the way of Europomundo the Hotels were usually quite a way out of the main centres which meant very little chance to try local restaurants I would call these tours a brief taste of the Balkans. Hotels were good tourist class places. Like Accor style without the extra benefits Meals were mostly good. again typical tourist hotel style meals or buffet breakfast were very good with lots of variety As meals are mostly provided in the Hotels you are then wasting money by paying to go to a local restaurant You do see a lot of places and spend a few hrs in each place but no time for museums unless on the itinerary which they stick to. Europomondo tour company is well know for its tailored hop on hop offs so you can join them pretty much anywhere along the route Also bear in mind it is a Spanish company so all tours are bilingual and English is also spoken but firstly if you are only speaking English you have to wait for the Spanish info to be spoken then it is in English Buses are usually full say 40-45 people is pretty standard. I personally will not be using this company again am over being so rushed with late city arrivals and early starts for sure not a relaxing holiday BUT I did see a lot and coming from Australia it is not easy to revisit these places. I have done 2 separate but probably 5 individual tours with them 3 in one area ( Spain Morocco Portugal) and 2 in another area Balkans and the old Yugoslavian countries. I admire their logistics of pulling it all together but the individuality is lost. The drivers and guides are fantastic a big heads up for Victor and Igor and their drivers felt very safe and their information was very good. Ok so my main criticism is too rushed accommodation too far out busses very big so a lot of people who you only meet briefly before a new lot come on board.   It was annoying that travellers were divided into different hotels, some got better ones than others, while paying the same amount. Also tour guides smoked in front of guests. Guides English skills were poor.Show more

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. To ensure the smooth progression of the tour, all our guides hold a minimum B2 (Upper Intermediate) English certificate. This certification guarantees their ability to engage seamlessly in conversations with passengers, express themselves fluently, and narrate historical accounts. Should a passenger encounter difficulty understanding the guide, they are encouraged to request clearer communication or contact our emergency numbers. If the issue persists, we can arrange for a guide reassignment. Regrettably, no communications were received from your end via our emergency 24/7 hotline and WhatsApp. Consequently, we were unable to address your concerns, We apologize for the inconvenience. Guides are allowed to smoke in their free time and we do not impose restrictions on their personal freedom.   The tour guides were excellent as were the majority of hotels. What was disconcerting to me is the behavior and attitude of the Spanish speaking travellers. I found them to be ignorant, arrogant & lacking in manners & good behavior toward the guides & the English speaking travellers. On both the Baltic and the last Balkan trip they did their best to exclude us. When the guides were trying to talk they insisted on talking over them, especially the guide who spoke in English. On the Baltic tour I was seated alone at lunch as the Spanish people, led by a middle aged Mexican woman insisted I not be seated with them. It happened again on the Balkan tour when we went out to a traditional Balkan dinner and traditional dancing. They were insistent I was not to sit with them and there was only one table provided for all of us. I did pay my fee the same as them. It was resolved in my favor. At the last dinner in Buchareshti we refused to sit with them and were seated away from them at our insistence. One of the older Spanish men went to the bar and for five minutes insisted they provide a special wine for him which the bar did not have. He went away fuming. Such childish behaviour is the norm with these spoiled brats. On the Balkan tour the Argentines were the worst of the worst, always complaining and never satisfied regardless of how one tried to moliffy them. Still if this is indicative of how I will be treated on any further tour with Europamundo I doubt I will be forwarding any more money to your firm; nor can I reccomend you to my English speaking friends.
