  1. Day 1

    Lima

    You'll arrive in Lima and head to your hotel to settle in. Your Holiday Director meets you this evening for dinner, so you'll get oriented and meet the group before your tour officially begins.

  2. Day 2

    Lima

    This day focuses on Lima's colonial side. You'll walk through the city's historic squares and check out several 17th century churches and mansions that showcase the architecture from that era. The museums here hold impressive collections of pre-Inca and Inca artifacts, so you'll spend time looking through those as well.

  3. Day 3

    Lima to Sacred Valley

    The morning is free in Lima, giving you time to sleep in or grab breakfast on your own. Later you'll fly to Cuzco, and from there you'll transfer down to the Sacred Valley where the lower altitude helps your body adjust to Peru's elevation before going higher.

  4. Day 4

    Machu Picchu

    Early departure by narrow gauge railway takes you toward Machu Picchu, then you'll board a bus for the final climb up the mountain. With a local guide walking you through the ruins, you'll learn the history as you explore this 15th century site and take in the views around you.

  5. Day 5

    Sacred Valley to Cuzco

    Traveling back from Sacred Valley toward Cuzco, you'll stop at Ccaccaccollo community centre to see the Planeterra weaving co-operative. Locals will show you traditional weaving and dyeing methods, and you'll have the chance to buy textiles if you want. The rest of your time in Cuzco is free to explore on your own.

    Cuzco

    You'll walk through Cuzco's old streets, seeing how Inca and colonial architecture blend together in the buildings and churches around you. After that, head out to Sacsayhuaman Fortress to see the massive Inca stone walls. Later you'll attend a cooking class where you'll learn to make Peruvian dishes and pisco sours, getting hands-on with local food traditions.

    Cuzco to Puno

    The drive to Puno takes you through beautiful mountain terrain with several planned stops. You'll see the 17th century church at Andahuayluillas, explore the Racchi ruins, and check out the archaeological site at Puca-Pucara before reaching Puno on Lake Titicaca's shore.

    After an early breakfast, you'll sail out to the Uros floating islands where Uro-Aymara families live on reed islands they've built themselves. Then you'll head to Taquile island, known for its residents wearing traditional dress and making high-quality textiles. Lunch happens at a local restaurant before you return to your Puno hotel for dinner downtown.
