- Day 1
Johannesburg
You'll kick off in Johannesburg with a welcome meeting at 6 pm. If you get there early, the Apartheid Museum offers important historical context about the country. Once the meeting wraps up, there's an optional dinner where you can meet other travelers in your group.

Johannesburg to Kruger National Park
This is a long driving day from Johannesburg heading into Kruger National Park. You'll travel through the Greater Kruger ecosystem and settle at your campsite. Later in the evening, you can relax or join an optional night drive with a guide to see nocturnal animals and maybe catch sight of lions or hyenas.

- Day 3
Kruger National Park
After breakfast, you're out for a full-day 4WD safari through Kruger. Spend your time game viewing and watching for birds, stopping at different waterholes and viewpoints along the way. The Big Five and over 500 bird species call this place home. By evening, another optional night drive gives you a chance to look for nocturnal predators. Your accommodation stays right there in the park.

- Day 4
Greater Kruger National Park - Black Mambas HQ
You'll head to the Black Mambas headquarters near Kruger's edge. They're the world's first all-female anti-poaching unit, and you'll join them on a bush walk to see how they locate and destroy snares. Later comes a lantern-lit dinner by the campfire where the Mambas share their stories and talk about their conservation efforts.

Landmarks Balule Nature Reserve - Day 5
Goo Moremi Gorge
After leaving the Black Mambas behind, you're heading toward Botswana and Goo Moremi Gorge. Once you arrive, there's an optional guided hike through this national heritage site. The gorge has year-round streams, waterfalls dropping into deep pools, and plenty of lush vegetation. Keep an eye out for birds, baboons, rock rabbits, and occasionally leopards or hyenas.

Landmarks Goo Moremi Gorge - Day 6
Nata
Starting in Palapye, you'll travel to Nata and reach a lodge sitting at the edge of the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans, one of the world's largest salt flats at about 12,000 square kilometres. A 3-hour open vehicle trip takes you through the Nata Bird Sanctuary across these endless plains. Much of the year it's dry and salty with heat mirages, but after rains it becomes green and attracts migratory birds and animals. You'll stay at a comfortable lodge.

Victoria Falls
Travel to Victoria Falls by crossing into Zimbabwe, with lunch on the Zambezi River banks. Check into your permanent tent camp, then consider an optional visit to Victoria Falls itself. It spans roughly a mile wide and drops 108 metres into a gorge, with spray sometimes visible from kilometres away. In dry season you'll see it clearly with visible islets. Other activities are available locally. This evening brings a final celebration dinner with your group.

- Day 8
Victoria Falls
Your trip concludes after breakfast with no scheduled activities. If you want to extend your stay in Victoria Falls, there are plenty of options available, including helicopter flights over the falls for fantastic views of this natural wonder.
