Itinerary
- Day 1
Denver
Head to Denver and meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers at 6 pm for a welcome drink. You'll have the rest of the evening to yourself to explore the city. Check out one of the local museums, walk the pedestrian mall on 16th Street, or stop by a brewery if that appeals to you.

- Day 2
Boulder - Estes Park
This morning starts with an orientation tour of Denver including the Colorado State Capitol. From there, you'll go to Red Rocks Amphitheater, built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. Later head to Boulder for the Flatiron views and another orientation tour, then grab lunch and have time to walk around Pearl Street. By evening you'll drive toward Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park.

- Day 3
Vail
Start at the Alpine Visitor Center before exploring Rocky Mountain National Park. Trail Ridge Road takes you across the Continental Divide tundra on America's highest continuously paved road. After that, drive to Grand Lake to see Colorado's largest natural lake surrounded by mountain peaks. You'll finish the day in Vail for dinner and settle in for two nights there.

Vail
Begin with a guided hike at the Vail Nature Center where you'll see wildflowers, beaver lodges, and learn about the local ecosystem. Next, visit the Colorado Snowsports Museum and Hall of Fame to check out skiing and snowboarding history. The afternoon and evening are yours to wander Vail's alpine villages, browse galleries, shop, or find a place to eat.

Palisade
Leave Vail heading toward Grand Junction and the Colorado National Monument to see red rock canyons and desert landscapes. Stop at a family-owned peach orchard in Palisade and tour Peach Street Distillers to taste their spirits made with Colorado grain and local fruit. Stay overnight at Wine Country Inn to experience the local area.

Durango
Depart from Palisade and drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park to see the gorge carved by the Gunnison River. Then head to Silverton to board the Durango and Silverton Narrow-Gauge Railroad steam train for a scenic ride through Rio de las Animas Canyon to Durango. Settle in for two nights and spend the evening browsing Main Avenue shops or trying a local restaurant.

Durango
Visit Mesa Verde National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see Spruce Tree House and cliff dwellings from 700 years ago. Tour the museum to learn about the Anasazi people and view Cliff Palace. Stop at the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum to explore Ute culture and history. Later visit Ska Brewing Company to learn about their sustainability work and try their beers, then have dinner at a downtown Durango restaurant.

Colorado Springs
Leave Durango for Alamosa and spend time at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. The tallest sand dunes in North America rise 750 feet across 30 square miles. From there, continue to Colorado Springs for two nights at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, which has walking trails, pools, a private lake with watersports, golf, spa, and pickleball.

Colorado Springs
Enjoy Colorado Springs your way by choosing one of the included options. Pick the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum to explore Team USA's history, or the Broadmoor Hotel with the Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway for views from the world's oldest cog railway. You could also visit Garden of the Gods for a nature walk through 300-foot sandstone formations and 300 million years of geology. Afternoon leisure time at the resort follows, then a farewell dinner with your group this evening.

Glenwood Springs
Depart Denver this morning on the Canyon Spirit train heading west to Glenwood Springs. Breakfast and lunch are included along with snacks and beverages as the train crosses the Continental Divide. You'll see views through White River National Forest and the rugged Rocky Mountains landscape. Arrive in Glenwood Springs for an overnight stay at the historic Hotel Colorado.

Moab
Leave Glenwood Springs and cross into Utah heading toward Moab, an outdoor hub near several national parks and popular hiking areas. Watch mountain views and red sandstone landscapes come into view as you approach Moab, the gateway to Arches and Canyonlands. Meals are served onboard the Canyon Spirit train as you enjoy panoramic views from the oversized windows.

Salt Lake City
Spend the morning in Moab with free time to explore downtown museums and shops, visit the Moab Museum of Film and Western Heritage, bike backcountry trails, or just relax taking in American West scenery. This afternoon board the Canyon Spirit train for Salt Lake City. Late lunch is served as you pass through Castle Gate and Price River Canyon, go through the historic Thistle Tunnels, and travel past Provo before arriving in Salt Lake City.
