  February falls within the rainy or 'green' season, and during this time, most lodges inside Lower Zambezi National Park close due to accessibility challenges. The park's dirt roads can become waterlogged, and wildlife viewing is more limited compared to the dry season (June–October). However, this period is still wonderful for lush landscapes, birdwatching, and photography. Since you'll be based in Lusaka, I would recommend exploring other destinations that remain accessible and enjoyable during the rainy season. Kafue National Park is one of Africa's largest and oldest parks, which remains open year-round.

  In terms of timing, there is no significant difference between traveling at the beginning of February versus mid-February. Both periods offer similar conditions and pricing, so you can choose whichever dates work best for you. The price for solo traveller for the 4 day trip is $1249.
