It was an indescribably fascinating, intense and impressive trip. Our driver Anell and our guide Remi were very responsible and friendly towards us. Remi brought us very close to the culture and people we met through his knowledge. Anell, our driver, drove us the approx. 2000 km through Benin with great foresight and very safely through the country. We are a couple in our early 60's. The hotels were fine for us. We knew that we could not apply European standards. Everyone who goes on a trip like this should know this. The breakfast consisted of baguette, omelette, coffee, tea (partly instant coffee), butter, jam - all sufficient for a breakfast. Remi gave us the opportunity to get to know and enjoy real African cuisine. We were there to get to know the people, their way of life, culture and religions - especially the Vodun/Voodoo. We got so close to the people on this trip. We didn't feel like the "whites", but that we belonged in a spiritual way. We can only recommend this trip to others. Many thanks to Remi and Anell!   February falls within the rainy or 'green' season, and during this time, most lodges inside Lower Zambezi National Park close due to accessibility challenges. The park's dirt roads can become waterlogged, and wildlife viewing is more limited compared to the dry season (June–October). However, this period is still wonderful for lush landscapes, birdwatching, and photography. Since you'll be based in Lusaka, I would recommend exploring other destinations that remain accessible and enjoyable during the rainy season. Kafue National Park is one of Africa's largest and oldest parks, which remains open year-round.

  In terms of timing, there is no significant difference between traveling at the beginning of February versus mid-February. Both periods offer similar conditions and pricing, so you can choose whichever dates work best for you. The price for solo traveller for the 4 day trip is $1249. The price includes: 3 Nights Accommodations, Only activities listed on the Itinerary, Meals-Breakfast and Dinner, Transportation during the tour. The only additional expenses would be for your lunch meals, personal purchases, and any optional activities not included in the program. Depending on your spending habits, an estimated budget of $250–$350 should be sufficient.
