3-Day Zambia Tour Packages
Think you can experience Zambia's highlights quickly? Brief visits probably mean focusing on Victoria Falls from the Zambian side, Livingstone town, and Zambezi River activities, like white-water rafting below the falls, sunset cruises, and bungee jumping off the bridge. It’s brief but intense, and while Zambia’s quieter than Zimbabwe, it’s an authentic and relaxing experience.

3 Day Zambia Safari Itinerary, incl. Lusaka and Kafue National Park
The wild expanse of Zambia's 22,400km² Kafue National Park sets the stage for three days of game drives. The journey includes stops at David Sheppard's Elephant Orphanage, the serene Longola Hotsprings, overnight stays at riverside Naumba Camp, and authentic cultural encounters in Iyanda village.

- Day 1
Lusaka to Kafue National Park (Long Transfer Day)
Your journey starts with an 8:00 AM pickup from your Lusaka hotel for a 7-8 hour drive west to Kafue. A recent visitor shared: "We had to do a lot of driving to our destination but everything was professionally handled and every detail covered." You'll travel on the M9 highway before switching to gravel roads. Book your stay at the StayEasy Hotel in central Lusaka the night before pickup to make the morning departure easier.

- Day 2
Safari in Southern Kafue
Start your day early for full-day game viewing in the Ngoma area. While the park's size means wildlife can be spread out, you might spot leopards, cheetahs, and wild dogs. A TourRadar reviewer noted: "Elephants, hippos and buffalos abound, and there's a chance to see lions or leopards. Also great for birdwatching." Bring strong insect repellent since tsetse flies are common in this area. The bites won't make you sick, but they're uncomfortable. Most tours use closed, air-conditioned vehicles instead of open safari vehicles because of the flies.

- Day 3
Return to Lusaka
3 Day Kafue National Park Itinerary, incl. Livingstone and Itezhi Tezhi
A safari adventure from Livingstone leads into Kafue National Park's southern territory. The route encompasses Kalomo's colonial landmarks, wildlife tracking in Ngoma area, time at David Sheppard Elephant Orphanage, and relaxation at Longola Hotsprings. Nights are spent at comfortable Itezhi Tezhi lodges.

- Day 1
Livingstone to Kafue National Park (Southern Region)
Be ready for pickup at 7:30 AM from your Livingstone lodge. The long drive to Kafue offers beautiful scenery along the way. Stop in Kalomo town around noon to get supplies at Choppies Supermarket. You'll need plenty of water for the dusty drive ahead. "Drive to Kafue NP is great, offering opportunities to visit local villages and see how people live, plus amazing flora and fauna along the way." Pack insect repellent since tsetse flies are common in parts of the park. Stick to light clothing in natural colors to blend into the environment.

- Day 2
Game Viewing in Ngoma Area
Your wildlife viewing starts at 8:30 AM in the Ngoma management area. The park is huge and wildlife can be spread out so be patient. The remote location means you'll get a truly wild safari experience without tourist crowds. "We've seen landscapes and animals that we will never forget. The guide Fines is really professional and knows so many things about nature." In the afternoon visit Longola Hot Springs near Iyanda Village. While you can't swim there the palm-lined springs make for beautiful photos and give you a glimpse of local culture.

- Day 3
Return Journey to Livingstone
Zambezi Highlights (Victoria Falls) 3 Days / 2 Nights
This 3-day budget safari takes groups of 2-12 through Victoria Falls and Zambezi National Park, staying at Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge on bed-and-breakfast. A guided tour of Victoria Falls is followed by game drives in Zambezi National Park where you'll see elephants and buffalo roaming the bush.

- Kanzwa short holiday break excursion - 2 Nights Safari Tour to Kafue National Park - Southern Region (Ngoma Area Management)
Great opportunity to have a proper safari experience in Kafue NP even with little available time. Elefants, Hippos and Buffalos abound, and there's a chance to see lions or leopards. Also great for birdwatching. Staff and Tour guides were very friendly and accommodating.
- From Livingstone: 3-days safari travel to Kafue National Park (southern part), Ngoma Area Management
Lochinvar Safaris has been doing great work. I had excellent time with them for three full days. Not only that, but booking and discussion about plan was smooth. Mark is great communicator and organizer. His team is well committed to provide good experience for customers. We left Livingstone in the morning, and Oscar, who works with Mark was very knowledgeable about Zambia’s history and tradition. One of first highlights was visiting Pioneer cemetery, originally dedicated to Rhodesian Pioneers. Must visit for anyone who’s interested in this part of Zambia history. Drive to (and back from) Kafue NP is great, opportunity to visit local villages and how people live, plus view of great flora and fauna. Two nights stay at Itezhi tezhi town was well experience. Good accommodation, nice host and people who work there. Alice was making nice dishes with great presentation. The second day was drive in KNP, again great flora and fauna. Lots of opportunity to see various birds (like national bird Fish Eagle) and various animals (likely most often is Pumbaa, local name for warthog). The safari guide was KNP native Gift, very knowledgeable about his native land. We also visited Game Rangers International (located in KNP), dedicated to rescue mostly orphaned elephants. Finally it was nice visiting Longola Hot Springs, and have opportunity to see how local people enjoy it very much. Thanks for experience, Zarko

Mark made our trip very memorable. He is passionate about what he does and very knowledgeable. Only criticism would be we would have liked a more comfortable accommodation. Overall a very enjoyable experience and hopefully we will be able to return to Zambia again.
