- Day 1
Evenes to Harstad
You'll arrive at Harstad-Narvik Airport and pick up your rental car for the drive to Harstad on Hinnoya, Norway's largest island. This coastal town has a nice mix of natural scenery, local food spots, independent shops, and hosts music festivals throughout the year. Get settled in and explore the waterfront at your own pace this evening.

- Day 2
Harstad to Andenes
After breakfast, head north toward the Vesteralen Islands just above the Arctic Circle. The drive takes you along the authentic west coast with dramatic contrasts between calm beaches, farmland, deep fjords, and rocky mountains. You'll reach Andenes at the northern tip of Andoya Island by afternoon, where you can check into your accommodation.

- Day 3
Andenes
Start with a leisurely morning around Andenes' harbor or take a coastal hike if you're interested. In the early afternoon, head to the harbor for your included whale watching cruise through the Whale Museum. The 2 to 4 hour boat safari gives you a real shot at spotting whales since Vesteralen has a 95% success rate year-round.

Andenes to Stokmarknes
After breakfast, drive the Norwegian Scenic Route, a 58 km stretch between Andenes and Bjornskinn using Roads 7698 and 7702. You'll pass some of Norway's nicest beaches and might spot seals or whales from the road. The fishing village of Bleik and other hidden spots are worth a quick stop before continuing to Stokmarknes via Road 82.

Stokmarknes to Reine
You're heading toward the Lofoten Islands today. Take the ferry from Melbu to Fiskebol, which connects you to the Lofoten archipelago famous for its cod fisheries. By evening you'll reach Reine and stay in a traditional rorbu, those iconic red wooden cabins built on stilts right over the water.

Lofoten Islands Exploration
After breakfast, explore the Lofoten Islands starting with charming villages like Henningsvaer. You'll see towering mountains, white sand beaches, clear water, and sheltered fishing villages throughout the day.

Reine to Svolvaer

Svolvaer to Harstad
If you're into history, the Lofoten War Museum has an interesting collection including artifacts from the battleship Tirpitz. Otherwise, check out the North Norwegian Art Centre for contemporary visual art instead. In the afternoon, head back toward Harstad.
