    If you are looking for group tours- we recommend checking Balkans Odyssey 8 countries in 12 Days.
    
    There is a guaranteed departure date on 18 October 2026. On Day 1 the city tour starts at 2.30 pm.
    
    You can easily extend the tour with extra night in Belgrade, Serbia and Sofia, Bulgaria.

    If I extend the 3 nights in the cities, how would that fit in? Is the 15 day one a private tour?

    If I have to compare the itineraries the Balkans Odyssey covers over 90% of the Ultimate Balkans with shorter travel distance mainly because you arrive in Belgrade and don't drive over 400km upon arrival.
    
    Definately Balkans Odyssey offers better value for money, I would recommend adding extra overnight in Belgrade, Serbia, pre-tour, the so you have time to recover from the flight, the next day you meet the group and start the city tour after briefing.
    
    Similar you can add 1 night in Sofia, Bulgaria after the tour so after the city tour you have time to explore further and fly out of the Balkans the next day at without being in rush.
    
    This way the tour will be 14 days.
    
    Please note the only group tour we have is Balkans Odyssey starting 18 October.
    
    Cost of extra overnight in Belgrade and Sofia in a 4* hotel is 95 EUR per overnight per room including breakfast.
    
    Single room supplement for the entire trip is 390 EUR, which is very good deal compared to what is offered on the Balkans.
    
    We stay in great 3+* and 4* hotesl.

    Yes, the last day according to standard tour is 29 October- departure from Sofia.
    
    If you decide to extend with 1 overnight, the end date of your trip will be 30 October.

    When we arrive on 17th Oct, you will pick us from the airport correct, we will be arriving on different flights. And when we leave on 30th Oct, we will be be transfer to the airport as well; we will be leaving on different flights.

    The 15 day itinerary is operated only for private groups. To offer competitive price we need to have 8-10 participants at least.
    
    Regarding 12 day itinerary- yes the 18 October tour is now fully booked.
    
    You can check the next available date 1 November 2026. Still we have 5 seats available on it.

    You should budget around 30-35 EUR per day for meals.

I'm also finishing up the Morocco tour that same day June 14 so would I have time to fly to Sofia and start this one on the same day?

  My question is about the amount of walking involved in your tours. I would expect alot of it would be walking around the various cities, but can you estimate approximate amounts of walking in a day. I'm asking because I've had knee replacements (2020), and it's not that I can't walk, but my pace is not as fast as it was, & I'm concerned about keeping up. Also, many of the cities we've visited have alot of up and downhill streets. I may be overthinking this, since I'm sure you've had range of people on your tours.

    We always keep a comfortable, inclusive pace so you should have no difficulty keeping up. Despite your knee replacements (2020) and your concerns about walking pace, the walking on this tour is not difficult.

    Yes, we can book extra nights in Sofia. The cost for TWIN/DBL room is 92 EUR per night per room, breakfast included. Extra airport transfer costs 25 EUR.

It will start from Belgrade and finish in Sofia. This journey offers better value for money, more destinations, and reduced travel distances compared to our previous programs. The dates are already published for 2026 and are open for bookings. We can offer you pre-tours and post tour for few days, before or after the tour if you want to spend 15 days on the Balkans.
