Itinerary
- Day 1
Calgary
You'll land in Calgary and head to The Dorian, Autograph Collection hotel where you'll meet your Tour Director and get a welcome briefing with the rest of your group. This first evening sets the tone for the trip ahead.
- Day 2
Calgary to Banff
The drive from Calgary to Banff takes you along the historic Cowboy Trail through the Rocky Mountain foothills. You'll stop to meet with two local food-producing families and have a farm to fork lunch prepared by a chef on the property. From there you head to Fairmont Banff Springs for a two-night stay.

Banff
You've got choices today in Banff National Park, Canada's first. Take a helicopter over the Three Sisters Peaks, float the Bow River, get spa treatments, ride the Banff Gondola up Sulphur Mountain, or snowshoe if it's early season. Pick your dining experience from the scenic freechoice options available.

Lake Louise
Head to Lake Louise and check into the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise in a lakeview room. You'll meet a retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police member who'll talk about the Mounties' role in the region. Later you'll have dinner with views of the lake and the surrounding landscape.

Lake Louise to Jasper
The Icefields Parkway drive between Lake Louise and Jasper takes you past towering peaks, glaciers, turquoise lakes, and waterfalls. Stop at Columbia Icefield where you'll ride an Ice Explorer onto Athabasca Glacier. An indigenous storyteller leads a plant walk about medicinal and culinary uses, and you'll have dinner inspired by the wilderness before arriving at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

Jasper
Spend your day exploring Jasper's rugged terrain with options like a Maligne Lake cruise to Spirit Island, Athabasca River rafting, touring Maligne Canyon, taking a Harley Davidson sidecar tour, or snowshoeing. You'll also join a guided wildlife tour to see elk, deer, black bears, moose, and mountain goats in their natural habitat.

Arrive in Kamloops for an overnight stay at a hotel chosen by Rocky Mountaineer.

Kamloops to Vancouver
Continue your Rocky Mountaineer experience with views of where the Fraser and Thompson rivers meet. Pull into Vancouver by evening and transfer to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in the historic downtown area.

Vancouver
Start early with exclusive access to Capilano Suspension Bridge Park before heading across the swaying bridge through the forest canopy. Later you'll do a city sightseeing tour and grab lunch before boarding Holland America Line's MS Koningsdam for your seven-night Alaskan cruise. Your verandah stateroom offers chances to spot humpback whales and bald eagles.

Juneau, Alaska
Arrive in Juneau, Alaska's capital, which you can only reach by air or sea. Explore its gold rush history and Tlingit heritage. Walk through the city to find glacier views and the local arts scene.

Skagway, Alaska
Skagway takes you back to the Klondike Gold Rush era with its preserved shop fronts and wooden boardwalks. You can wander the streets and see the buildings that tell stories of the fortune seekers who came through here.

Dawes Glacier, Alaska
You'll see the dramatic ice walls of Dawes Glacier from the ship. Grab hot chocolate and watch the frozen wilderness with its towering ice formations as the ship moves through this part of Alaska.

Ketchikan, Alaska
Ketchikan is your last Alaskan stop and known as the salmon capital of the world. Experience the mix of native heritage and the energy of a working fishing community. Try the local food and take in the coastal atmosphere.

At Sea
On your final day at sea, you'll cruise south toward Vancouver. Take time to relax and think about everything you've seen and done on this trip.

Vancouver
Your trip ends back in Vancouver. You'll say goodbye to the people you've traveled with and head to your departure flight. If you choose, you can explore Vancouver by motorcoach before you go while your luggage stays secure.
