I would like some more information re pricing and just questions about how it works in general and when is the latest time to book for September 15 tour

The bus arrives at the hotel on the 1st day around 530pm, we do the itinerary, and then the last evening we stay at the same hotel in Bangor. The last morning the bus takes the group into Bar Harbor where we get on the trolley tour to Acadia National Park. Passengers will have time after, in Bar Harbor to grab a bite to eat before departing. The tour can be booked at any time, based on availability. Final payment is due 7/15, so, if you book after that payment is due in full at time of booking.

If the tour ends in Acadia Nat'l Park, will the tour company provide transportation to Bangor Int'l airport at the end of the tour?

My wife and I are flying into Bangor on the day before the trip and would like to stay at the same hotel the tour is booked for on Monday night. Has the hotel in Bangor been determined yet? If so, please provide the name of the hotel.

You can arrive anytime, but arriving by 5pm for dinner is suggested.

Yes, there will be a full-time Tour Director from start to finish.

How do I get back to Bangor from Arcadia when the tour ends? Is there transportation?

We drop people at the Bangor Airport after the tour of Acadia National Park.

I would never use tours of distinction again.the communication was the worst of any company I’ve ever worked with. Our assigned tour director broke her ankle or foot just before our trip. We were assigned another tour director. That’s no problems, things happen and we can understand that however the new tour director had never worked with this company. She had done tours to Nova Scotia but was unable to answer any questions about what we were told vs what was being delivered. There were so many things wrong that I won’t even get into them but the short story is the itinerary we were given was changed with no communications. No official itineraries were given out only the outline online used to sell you the trip. Everyday we would ask what we’re doing, where are going, what is next. We were given our next location at the end of each day. Without having any type itinerary we could not plan what we wanted to do or see on our “free time”. Some days we didn’t even know where we were going while we were going there. It was not fun. Some of the bus rides were unnecessarily long. At one point the entire bus got upset and demanded we take a break to get off the bus. Breaks are in the back of a fast food parking lot. We met them in Maine at the hotel and the last day we were supposed to go to the national park but because they started in CT they said we would have to drive ourselves and follow the bus if we wanted to go to the park because other people had to go to the airport and back to ct. this of course was only told to us months after we booked and only because I asked a question to get some clarity. I would NEVER recommend this trip with this company. I would however recommend choosing another company because Nova Scotia and specifically PEI are beautiful. We will definitely go back. Just don’t use tours of distinction.Show more

Each hotel was above the norm. The restaurant choices were great also. Our group consisted of 24 including driver and guide. Small bus, very comfortable. Just returned from the Nova Scotia/Bar Harbor trip. Our tour director Kim was everything you’d want in a tour director, professional, fun, on top of every detail and flexible to fit needs of group. Our driver Bob was a great driver, patient and helpful but also fun. Bus was extremely comfortable! Brian our local guide did a great job around Halifax, he is extremely knowledgeable and kept us interested in the history. My sister and I enjoyed our trip and will be planning another I’m sure. Kudos to all!Show more

  The hotel in Bangor has been, and is, the Courtyard Bangor; however, we can make that reservation for you, and you can just take care of the payment upon arrival. The tour ends in Bar Harbor where we take the trolley tour to Acadian National Park. The bus will take passengers back to the hotel, but won't be leaving Bar Harbor until around 1:30pm
