Yes it is possible for us to book an additional night for you at the hotel we use in Cairns. The airport in Cairns is very close to the city, so it is about 10-15 minutes drive. I usually jump in a taxi or Uber but the hotel can also arrange a shuttle transfer for you if you like

Unfortunately we don't work with airlines or airfares so I am unable to recommend an airline that flies into Brisbane and out of Cairns. I would suggest taking a look at Skyscanner to get an idea of what airlines may do this or contact a travel agent who specialises in airfares. You can also fly in and out of the same city and use domestic airlines within Australia - are three main airlines are Qantas, Virgin Australia and Jetstar.
