- Day 1
Zurich
You'll arrive in Zurich and check into your hotel. Spend the evening getting oriented to Switzerland's largest city, which sits at the intersection of finance and culture. Take some time to wander around your neighborhood and settle in for the night.

Lucerne - Bern
This morning starts with a guided walking tour through Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse and Old Town, where you'll see medieval churches and historic architecture. After lunch, head to Lucerne on Lake Lucerne before continuing on to Bern, Switzerland's capital, where you'll spend the night.

Montreux
Drive through the Swiss landscape to Gstaad, a mountain village known for skiing and outdoor activities. You'll see Gstaad Palace and the upscale shopping district with alpine views all around. Later, travel to Montreux on Lake Geneva for a two-night stay by the water.

Vevey
If you're up for it, take an optional morning walk along the Lake Geneva shoreline path with views of the mountains and boats on the water. Then head to nearby Vevey to visit Chaplin's World Museum and learn about the filmmaker's life and work in this region.

Château-d'Oex - Huningue/Basel
Board the cheese train for a scenic ride to Château-d'Oex, where you'll watch a cheesemaker at Restaurant Le Chalet turn milk into hard cheese right in front of you. After that, transfer to Huningue or Basel to board your Scenic Space-Ship and start the river cruise portion of your trip.

Strasbourg

Dock in Rastatt this morning near an elegant Baroque palace. Explore Baden Baden, a spa town famous for its Roman thermal baths and Belle Epoque history. Pick one of three options: a walking tour, a spa visit, or a tour of Schloss Favorite. After lunch on board, attend a private classical concert at Rastatt's Baroque Palace in the evening.

Spend the afternoon on board before sailing for Amsterdam later.
