You'll arrive and board your river cruise in Amsterdam. After getting settled in your stateroom, there's a Welcome Cocktail and special Welcome Dinner waiting for you. The evening finishes with a Shanty Choir performance while the ship stays docked overnight.

Amsterdam to Utrecht
This morning you can explore Amsterdam on your own or take an optional canal cruise through the city's waterways. Return to the ship for lunch, then you'll head upstream toward Cologne. The ship departs at 8:30am and reaches Utrecht by 12:30pm to 1:00pm.

Cologne
After breakfast, you arrive in Cologne's Old Town with its High Gothic architecture and the famous twin-spired cathedral. You can sample Kölsch beer brewed locally, then spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace or joining an optional excursion to Siebengebirge National Park and Castle Drachenfels. Dinner happens on board as the river cruise continues along the Rhine.

Cochem
This morning the ship travels down the Moselle River, Germany's 5th largest wine region with steep terraced vineyards. After lunch you'll arrive in Cochem to explore narrow streets and medieval structures. A guided castle tour of Reichsburg Castle or a local winery visit with regional wine sampling are options available. The vessel continues toward Koblenz before midnight.

Koblenz to Rüdesheim
You arrive early in Koblenz where the Rhine and Moselle Rivers meet. A morning walking tour shows you around the town. Later you'll spend time on deck cruising the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site with vineyards and castles along dramatic riverbanks. By late afternoon, you reach Rüdesheim where you can either tour the Mechanical Music Cabinet Museum or do a vineyard tasting through the famous Drosselgasse. Dinner is back on the ship.

Mannheim to Speyer
Before breakfast, the ship docks in Mannheim where you can take an optional excursion to nearby Heidelberg, a historic university city. This afternoon you arrive in Speyer, known for its cathedral where eight Roman emperors were laid to rest. A guided tour covers the city's history and the Speyer Brezel pretzel celebrated at the annual festival. Later the ship heads toward Strasbourg for the night.

- Day 7
Strasbourg
You reach Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace. This morning includes a guided canal boat tour to see Strasbourg Cathedral and the medieval Petite France quarter with half-timbered houses. You'll pass the Ponts Couverts and Palais de Rohan, part of this UNESCO World Heritage Site with 22 stone bridges. After lunch on board, the ship heads toward Switzerland with Rhine views from the deck.
