Your flight to Bangkok departs today. This is your travel day, so you'll spend most of it in the air heading to Thailand.

- Day 2
Bangkok
You'll land in Bangkok and connect with your guide at the airport for the drive to your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon opens up for exploring the city. Start at Sanam Luang royal square and check out the Grand Palace views from the surrounding area. From there, walk along Rajdamnoen Street to the Monument to Democracy. Later, head up to Wat Saket monastery on the golden hill where you can get city views across Bangkok. By evening, you'll finish up at Khao San Road, which is lively with backpackers and street food vendors.

Bangkok
This morning you'll take an express boat on the Chao Phraya River, approaching the Royal Palace from the water. Head to Wat Phra Kaeo temple to see the Emerald Buddha, then move on to Wat Po monastery to check out the reclining Buddha. Cross the river by small ferry to reach Wat Arun and its decorated temple towers. Later, take an express boat to the flower and produce market. After that, you'll walk through Bangkok's colorful Chinatown, wandering the alleyways and taking in the energy of the neighborhood.

Bangkok to Chiang Mai
You'll travel by train from Bangkok's main station to Chiang Mai, spending the journey watching landscape views and soaking in the relaxed atmosphere. Local vendors board the train selling fresh snacks like mangoes, boiled quail eggs, and tamarind fruits if you want to try something. Once you arrive in Chiang Mai, you'll transfer from the station to your hotel.

- Day 5
Chiang Mai
Explore Chiang Mai's walled old town that's surrounded by a moat, strolling through two adjacent markets filled with spices and fresh flowers. After that, board a longtail boat on the Ping River for a scenic ride through countryside with teak houses visible from the water. You'll visit Queen Sirkit Botanical Garden in Mae Sa valley and walk along a 400-metre treetop path through the trees. To finish the day, head to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple on the mountain for views across the region.

Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai
Drive through landscapes toward Chiang Rai, passing through Doi Saket along the way. Your first stop is the hot springs at Wiangpapao where hot water shoots up like a geyser. You'll then visit a coffee plantation to learn about how they harvest and process the beans, and you get a complimentary coffee while you're there. The main event is Wat Rong Khun, the white temple with radiant white architecture that stands out from the landscape. Once you reach Chiang Rai, you'll tour the city including Wat Phra Kaew monastery, the market, and the artistic clock tower.

- Day 7
Chiang Rai to Chiang Khong
Head north to Mae Sai, Thailand's northernmost town, and check out a viewpoint overlooking Myanmar while browsing the colorful market. Continue on to the Golden Triangle where you can see the border where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos meet. You'll visit the small opium museum to learn about the historical smuggling trade in the area. Later, settle into the picturesque town of Chiang Khong on the Mekong River for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Chiang Khong to Pakbeng (Laos)
Drive to the border with Laos and cross the Friendship Bridge. From there, take a tuk-tuk to the jetty at Houay Xay and board your boat for a Mekong River cruise. In the narrow northern section of the river, there's plenty to see on the banks. You'll stop to visit a local village and learn about how people live in rural communities. After lunch on board, you'll relax with seasonal snacks and drinks while taking in the landscape. By sunset, you'll reach the village of Pakbeng.

Pakbeng to Luang Prabang (Laos)
Continue down the Mekong by boat. You'll stop at Pak Ou caves to see numerous Buddha figures inside. Visit the village of Lao Lao where Laotian rice schnapps is produced and try some for yourself at a tasting. After that, check out the local temple in the area. Then continue downstream, arriving in Luang Prabang in the afternoon.

- Day 10
Luang Prabang
Rise early to see the daily morning ritual where saffron-robed monks collect alms during a silent walk called 'Tak Baat'. It's a quiet and thoughtful experience. After breakfast, take tuk-tuks to the morning market where local farmers sell fruits, vegetables, and meat. You'll visit Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham, one of Luang Prabang's largest temples, and the National Museum. Tour a 120-year-old pre-colonial Laotian aristocratic mansion to see how a better-off family lived back then. End the day at Wat Xieng Thong, one of Laos's most beautiful temples, then watch the sunset from Mount Phousi summit.

Luang Prabang
Tour the surrounding countryside to connect with nature and see how people live in rural areas. Visit the Living Land project focused on sustainable agriculture and you'll actually participate in rice cultivation yourself. Drive to Kuang Si waterfall, which flows in multiple steps into terraces with spots for swimming and picnicking. Stop at a typical H'mong ethnic group village to see their beautiful stilt houses and learn about their daily life.

Luang Prabang
Travel to a pottery village across the river where families have practiced pottery-making for over 400 years. You'll see their techniques up close and get hands-on with clay to create your own pottery with help from experienced potters. You'll return to Luang Prabang around midday. The afternoon is free, so you can explore the city at your own pace.

Luang Prabang to Hua Hin
Transfer to the airport and fly to Bangkok, then continue on to Hua Hin, Thailand's oldest and former royal family seaside resort. The place has sophisticated elegance, long beaches, and a relaxed vibe. You'll spend three days here at leisure on the beach. If you want, there's an optional excursion to Sam Roi Yot National Park to see Javan monkeys and spectacled langurs in the natural landscape, plus the Tam Phra Nakorn cave that's hidden above a beach.
