  Sim was the most incredible tour manager. He was welcoming, supportive, and made everything so much fun. He is extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture. Sim made everyone feel like family, his energy made the trip even more special. When we traveled to different areas, you could tell the impact he has on people because everyone was genuinely happy to see him. He is one of the reasons this trip was as amazing as it was. His ability to make everyone feel comfortable and included made such a difference though out the trip. He’s truly an incredible person and an inspiration. The way he cares for others and everything he does for the people around him is something special!Show more

  I traveled on a Contiki tour to South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana. The itinerary was jam packed and exciting, with a great mix of cultural experiences, history, adventure and sight-seeing (and of course, game drives!). The accommodations were also great, with a mix of beautiful lodges well spaced out between our camping days. Our tour manager, Sim brought amazing energy while keeping things running smoothly and stress free even while navigating 20 people across 3 countries. He was warm, caring, thoughtful and made everyone on the trip feel comfortable and safe. He went above and beyond to make the trip special for us all any chance he could. You can tell Sim leaves an impression wherever he goes because every tour manager, driver and even airport worker we encountered knew him and was happy to see him. I would highly recommend this tour, specifically with Sim, to anyone I know!Show more

  Sim was warm and welcoming from the second we met him. There was no latency from being strangers to feeling like family. His knowledge of Southern Africa was impressive and he was always so excited to share it with us. Sim didn’t just get us where we needed to go, he made sure we all felt comfortable and happy every second of our trip. While his actions were enough, as we traveled through these places where he knew people they were always so excited to see him which was so telling of his character. He was organized, energized and excited to take us to all of the amazing spots. Aside from being a wonderful tour manager and educating us on his home, Sim truly cares about the places and people we visited. It was truly a pleasure to travel with him and I will be booking another trip with him when I can.Show more

  I had an amazing time on my southern Africa tour with Sim. He has a friendly, infectious energy and an excellent eye on game drives. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, resourceful, and kind; I have learned so much from traveling with him. Sim also fostered a strong sense of community in our travel group and now these 20 strangers have become my friends.   I did the contiki cape to delta safari in July and had the most amazing experience - the trip was a wonderful mix of sightseeing with highlights such as the township and cape tours in Cape Town, multiple Safaris with Chobe being my favourite, an abundance of wildlife culture and epic sights like Victoria falls alongside a group of wonderful people to travel with as a solo traveller However what truly made the trip was our guide Sim. Sim is an exceptional trip manager guide and human who brought a joy, wealth of knowledge and love for his country into every aspect of the trip. Having operated as a guide myself for over 8 years in Europe and Australia, it was genuinely wonderful to watch a fellow colleague in his element bring such a wonderful experience to life - no question went unanswered and the atmosphere created by Sim was unmatched. He took the time to get to know each and every one of us on a personal level and his impact in our experience is unmeasurable. Thank you again you legendShow more
