The Cape Town to Zanzibar 35 day tour does have a locally payable 'Adventure Pass' of USD 475. It budgets for the Okavango Delta excursion and Chobe National Park (in Botswana) and the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia. Visa requirements will depend on your nationality (per passport) but most people require a visa for Namibia and Tanzania. These can be applied for in advance (online) or purchased on arrival at the border. There is also a mandatory insurance purchase for all visitors to Zanzibar (which you apply for online in advance).

the tour is operated by another travel agency, not by tour radar, right? adventure pass is the only way to experience some of the activities or i can choose some optional activities during the trip and pay for them separately? my boyfriend would like to join us at one part of the trip only, preferably the last, at which part could he join?

There will be additional optional activities, e.g. white river rafting - that can be paid separately and directly with the activity centers. Please let us know from where your boyfriend would like to join and we can quote accordingly. I would suggest Livingstone, as it will be easier to get to.
