Itinerary
- Day 1
Johannesburg
You'll be picked up at Johannesburg Airport and driven to your hotel. There's a pre-departure meeting in the hotel foyer at 6pm where your guide will go over what's coming next. After that, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get settled.
- Day 2
Johannesburg to Hazyview
Head south from Johannesburg through the Panorama Route toward Kruger National Park. Stop at Bourkes Luck Pothole to see the geological formations created by water erosion over millions of years, then check out Gods Window for views across the canyon. You'll arrive at your lodge in Hazyview late in the afternoon.

Hazyview
Spend the full day on a game drive through Kruger National Park in an open 4x4 vehicle. You'll be looking for the Big Five and plenty of other wildlife and plant species throughout the park during your time there.

Hazyview to Mapesu Private Game Reserve
Leave Kruger and travel north through Limpopo Province toward the Botswana border. Later in the day you'll reach your lodge at Mapesu Private Game Reserve, which sits on the edge of Mapungubwe National Park. The area is historically significant as the location of the first southern African kingdom from the 13th Century and contains San rock art sites.

Mapesu Private Game Reserve
After breakfast, take a walking tour to see the Kaoxa Bushman paintings, which are in good condition. In the afternoon, head out on a sunset drive through the reserve where baobab trees dot the landscape. These trees can live 3,000 years or more and create a unique backdrop for the experience.

Mapesu Private Game Reserve to Matobo National Park
Start early and drive for about two hours to Beit Bridge border post where you'll cross into Zimbabwe. From there, continue on to your lodge on the edge of Matobo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Matobo National Park to Hwange National Park
Get close to both black and white rhinos this morning with encounters by vehicle and walking. After that, travel through Zimbabwe to Hwange National Park. You'll arrive late afternoon and have time for a sunset game drive in the private concession that borders the park.

Hwange National Park

Landmarks Hwange National Park - Days 9 - 10
Hwange National Park to Kasane
Cross into Botswana and reach your lodge situated on the Chobe River banks. Evening is free time to relax by the pool and take in the river views. On the next day, go on an early morning game drive in Chobe National Park followed by a sunset boat cruise on the river where you'll spot animals along the banks.

Kasane to Victoria Falls
Cross back into Zimbabwe and head to Victoria Falls town. You have two days of free time here to do what interests you. Make sure to see Victoria Falls itself, walk around town, and check out local markets. Optional activities include helicopter flights, bungee jumps, or sunset cruises if you want something more active.

Victoria Falls
Say goodbye to your group as the trip concludes. A transfer to Victoria Falls Airport is arranged for you. If you'd like to stay longer, your guide can help sort out post-tour accommodation options.
