  We have had an extremely stressful time and have never felt more vulnerable and scared for our family's safety. The guides did not pay any heed to our requirements and the driver/guide we had for 9 days was a nightmare. Not once did we see him smile during the entire span of the journey, or greet us in the mornings or even talk to us to try to make us feel at ease. He would instead spend a lot of time talking on his phone ( sometimes driving whilst even holding it in one hand). He would also smoke at every stop and come into the vehicle reeking of smoke. Our Riads and hotels had been changed at the last minute ( I was naive enough to not read the confirmation email where all these new names had been mentioned - because I had had extensive conversations with the company about these accommodations and had then finalised them - so had automatically assumed, that if there to be any changes, they would bring it to our notice, and not just by way of a confirmation email. When we brought this up with the company , we were immediately put on the back foot by receiving threats of cancelling the trip. They knew they had us in a corner as we were at their mercy and with two children, no booking confirmations from any of these hotels/riads - we ran the risk of being totally stranded in a new country. We were told that we were being disrespectful to the staff ( all within 24 hours of us reaching Marrakech), when it was the staff who were not aware of the arrangements that had been agreed to . We had even been told that Saadiyan tomb was closed , when it wasn't - so we could not visit it. When our driver for the next 9 days kept behaving oddly and we were scared of the way he was driving with a phone in one hand - we did not have the option of reporting this to the tour company, as we were scared that they would again threated to cancel the tour and leave us stranded . We had heard such great things about Moroccan hospitality and had been so looking forward to the trip. But unfortunately that was not to be. After coming back to UK, I have communicated in detail with the company about all our problems, and we just got superficial replies only. I had made them aware that I would give them a a negative review and also complain to the Tourism board ( about the way they had made our family feel vulnerable and unsafe) - but I don't think they could care less unfortunately.Show more

  My husband and I booked this for our honeymoon trip and were lucky enough that it was just he and I (but they booked us in single beds so we had to ask for a double every night). We had a fantastic driver, Ismaail, who was kind and friendly. The tour itself was mostly well planned and covered a lot of ground. What I wish we had was a little bit more education of culture (especially tipping) and what was expected. We got no suggestions of where to find food for dinner if it wasn't offered at the riad. It wasn't super clear what the itinerary was or where we would meet a guide or be picked up or if we would be taken back to our riad. We had a couple of mishaps in the beginning, even with the hospitality mint tea. Most places it was offered in welcome, but we were also asked after the fact to pay for it in some places so we learned to ask first. Most of the riads were very nice, but the mattresses were like sleeping on plywood. Highly recommend Google Maps downloaded in advance and pinning the riad (especially in Marrakech & Chefchaouen) so you don't get lost. Overall, I recommend the trip, just ask more questions that we did!Show more

  As my trip on this tour approached, I unexpectedly learned I would be the only guest, something I was initially a little nervous about as a female traveler. My concerns quickly disappeared thanks to Zakaria, my driver, whose calm, kindness and knowledge made me feel safe and at ease throughout the trip. The experience this tour offered exceeded my expectations in every way. The itinerary was well organized and thoughtfully paced, with beautiful and informative stops that highlighted Morocco’s diverse geography, traditions and culture. Although there were a lot of stops and almost daily driving, I never felt rushed or that we spent too much time on the road. The riads were beautiful and unique, my favorite being the riad in the Dades Valley of the Atlas Mountains. The owner, Ali, was incredibly hospitable and his food was delicious and abundant. The hotels chosen were clean, comfortable, and on the upscale side. The customer service team was also very accommodating with any questions or changes I made when I wanted to stay somewhere longer (perk to traveling solo :) I came to Morocco simply to visit a new place, with no expectations. I left with Morocco in my heart. This tour gave me the chance to see so much, gain inspiration for future travels and truly appreciate the Moroccan way of life. I will absolutely return.Show more

  This tour really blew me away. I don't know why, but I was not expecting the scale and beauty of the Atlas mountains and the surrounding area to be so breathtaking. I loved being surrounded by the towering mountains and gorges. It was like the Grand Canyon and Petra mixed together. We covered a great deal of territory, from the Sahara desert, to the mountainous forests. We travelled through big cities like Fez, Rabat, Chef Chamoun, Tangiers , Casablanca and Marrakesh and spent time outside the cities driving through beautiful countryside. We were a very small group of just 3, so it was quite easy to be flexible and meet everyone's needs. Our driver Zacarias, was a champion. He drove through all sorts of terrain and always got us where were needed to go on time. He was more than a driver he shared so much information with us that I would say he was as much a guide as a driver. I would highly recommend this tour to others.Show more
