Arrival in Marseille
Your river cruise gets underway today along the French waterways. Flights need to land in Marseille by 3 pm, then you'll head to the ship to be on board by 5 pm. After settling into your stateroom, dinner happens on board while you dock overnight in Arles.

Arles to Avignon
The Adventure Center offers several options for your morning in Arles. You can take a power walk through town, join a painting workshop learning Van Gogh techniques, or go on a guided walking tour of the Roman Amphitheater. Later there's free time to grab a glass of wine at Le Café Van Gogh. By afternoon you'll sail to Avignon where a wine lecture happens before settling in for the night.

Avignon

The morning brings a leisurely sail to Viviers where you can hike up to the Cathedral with your Adventure Host or take a guided walking tour through the pale-stone village. You'll see the Romanesque cathedral and Old Town with its Christian, Roman, and medieval layers. This evening features a food and wine pairing dinner hosted by your Master of Wine before sailing to Tain l'Hermitage overnight.

Tournon to Lyon
Starting in Tournon, you'll have options for the morning with your Adventure Host. Either explore the medieval town on foot or take a guided walking tour past the 16th-century castle overlooking the Rhône. In the early afternoon you cruise to Lyon, and an onboard chocolate and wine tasting with your Master of Wine happens while sailing.

There's also a guided option to the Beaujolais wine region to learn about its light wines. Live entertainment wraps up the evening before sailing to Tournus.
