Northern Lights (as a separate tour) are not included in this package. However, as you will be spending one night outside of Reykjavík, your chances of spotting them are quite good, weather permitting. The Icelandic countryside offers much darker and clearer skies than the capital, with far less light pollution, conditions that significantly improve the likelihood of seeing the Northern Lights.

This tour includes guided tour for 4 days, 3 nights hotel accommodation (2 rooms w/bathrooms) and 3x breakfast. Its possible to add Katla Ice Cave tour to the tour for 200 EUR (adult rate) and 150 EUR (youth rate).

This tour was split between two tours. The first was a 3 day tour and then you are taken back to Reykjavik for an overnight stay and taken out with a new group and tour leader for the last day. Itineraries are swapped around however you get to do everything in the description unless there is a problem out of their control. We had the best guide for the 3 day tour I have ever had in all my years of travelling. Sindri, our guide,was fantastic, he made sure everyone was looked after, made it clear what our plans were and was very approachable and informative. There were only 9 people in the tour in the minibus and the bus was comfortable. Bus travel responded to my pretour questions promptly. I really enjoyed this tour.Show more

The actual tours and the guides were excellent. Communication with the operators was an issue from the beginning till the end. Before the trip it took several emails to clarify what would happen to our luggage on the final day. On day 1 of the tour we were not collected from our hotel. The driver had been told to collect us at 8am and from the wrong hotel. We were told that we would be collected at 9am from our actual hotel. After waiting for an hour after the departure time we phoned to find the tour had departed without us. Another hour later we were put on a different tour with a different company and fortunately all was resolved. We can only guess what happened but the driver suggested that our tour was undersubscribed so that it was actually cancelled and we were thus farmed off to another company???Show more
