Since your travel is still months away, the exact hotel is not finalized yet, as it depends on availability and the final operational arrangements. However, all hotels we use are within the same 5-star standard. Regarding your question about choosing a specific hotel: We understand your preference, and you are welcome to share your preferred option after reviewing, and we will do our best to secure it for you, subject to availability and rate differences at the time of booking.

    The question around the service fee was not related to tipping in general. It was enquiring what the service fee on the Nile Cruises are typically. I understand that they request an upfront service fee significantly more than $10 to $20 USD/day. You have previously indicated in the correspondence thread above that you are not in possession of what the charges are and that they vary dependent on supplier. My question to you is, typically (or what is the range) of services fees for those three nights on board the cruise?

    Even if a booking is made now, we cannot guarantee 100% securing a specific hotel this far in advance, as hotels in Egypt (especially popular ones like Helnan Dreamland) do not always release or lock inventory that early and operate on dynamic availability. What we can guarantee is the following: Once your booking is confirmed, we will prioritize Helnan Dreamland as your first option and actively secure it as soon as availability opens for your dates. In the unlikely event it is not available at that time, we will provide a very similar or upgraded alternative of the same standard. So to be fully transparent — it is not a guaranteed confirmation at this stage, but it is a prioritized and managed allocation, which is the standard practice in Egypt for advance bookings.

    We would like to fly out of Hurghada on Monday 16 February). Marsa Alam is also fine for us by the way. It just needs to be a lovely hotel that you can wholeheartedly recommend for a young couple without kids. I have heard Marsa Alam is a bit warmer, but it might not make a big difference?

    Regarding the Red Sea stay, we can arrange either Hurghada or Marsa Alam. Both are excellent choices; Marsa Alam is usually a bit quieter and slightly warmer, but the difference is not significant. We will recommend a lovely, well-reviewed hotel suitable for a young couple without kids.

Regarding the accommodation arrangements, you will be staying in one triple room, and it will be prepared with three separate beds (twin beds + an additional bed).   My mom and I are planning a trip to Egypt, and we were wondering if it would be possible to book a hotel that's quite close to the pyramids. When browsing hotels we noticed that some seem to offer views of the pyramids from their restaurant or terrace — is that really feasible?     Yes, it is absolutely possible to stay in a hotel close to the Pyramids and even enjoy a beautiful pyramid view from the terrace or restaurant — it's a wonderful experience, especially at sunset. We actually work with multiple hotels near the Pyramids, and two of our preferred options are King Pyramids View and Locanda Museum Hotel. Both offer excellent standards, great service, and beautiful views, and they are the hotels we regularly use for our tours. We can definitely arrange a room or dining experience that matches your preferences.
