Another option that would include the Barrier Reef is to join the trip in Brisbane for either the 10 day tour including the Daintree or the 7 day tour ending in Cairns.

Found it pleasant that you don't change rooms every day, but stay in the hotel for 2 nights on some days. I would have expected the breakfast to be a little different, as I had booked a hotel tour, I assumed that I would get breakfast at the hotel every day. This was not the case, the tour guide often took us to a nearby café and we were allowed to order there for a certain amount. In one hotel there was unfortunately only scrambled eggs for us to choose from, which I unfortunately don't eat, so I only got a slice of toast with jam. It was a shame, as there was a menu card, but we weren't allowed to order from it.Show more
