Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and get transferred to your hotel. Later this evening, meet your tour leader for a welcome dinner where you'll try authentic Nepalese cuisine and learn about the country's food traditions and culture.

Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll have a private vehicle and guide take you through Kathmandu's main religious sites. The day includes the Monkey Temple (Swyambhunath Stupa), Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, and Patan Durbar Square. The afternoon and evening are yours to wander the markets and try local Nepali food.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
You'll fly 30 minutes from Kathmandu to Lukla at 2,800m and meet your trekking crew. From there, a gradual one-hour descent takes you through mountain scenery and Cheplung village with views of Mt. Khumbila. You'll then walk to Phakding for the night.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
After breakfast, trek through pine forests along the Benkar Valley. You'll cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, pass through Chumoa and Monjo (Everest National Park entrance), and cross more bridges near Jorsale. A steep climb brings you to Namche Bazaar.

- Day 5
Namche Bazaar
Today you'll stay in Namche Bazaar to rest and explore. The town has ATMs, internet access, shops, and a colorful market. You can visit the Sherpa Culture Museum to learn about Himalayan traditions, or take a day hike to nearby Khumjung village to see traditional Sherpa life and get views of Mount Everest.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek at a steady pace from Namche Bazaar through rhododendron forests and small villages. The trail offers some of the best views of the trek, showing Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. You'll descend to the Dudh Kosh River and reach Tengboche, where the large monastery sits with spectacular peak views.

Tengboche to Dingboche
You'll walk through birch and conifer forests with views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. The trail goes down to Debuche, crosses the Imja River, continues through Pangboche toward the Imja Valley and Lobuche River, then climbs up to Dingboche.

Dingboche
This is your rest day at Dingboche, over 4,000m high, so your body can adjust to the altitude. Check out the village with its stone-walled fields of barley, buckwheat, and potatoes. You can visit local restaurants and shops, or take day hikes to Nagarjun Hill or Chukkhung Valley for views of Makalu and other peaks.

Dingboche to Lobuche
Trek from Dingboche toward Lobuche, your last stop before Everest Base Camp. You'll gradually climb to Duglha at the Khumbu Glacier's edge, then steeply climb to Chupki Lhara. The route crosses the Khumbu moraine where you'll see Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and other peaks, then eases down the valley to Lobuche.

Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep
Today you reach Everest Base Camp, the main goal of your trek. You'll walk through Gorak Shep Lake village and continue across rocky dunes, moraine, and streams. The thin air makes walking harder, but reaching base camp lets you celebrate your achievement and photograph Nuptse, Khumbuste, and Pumori. Return to Gorak Shep to sleep.

- Day 11
Gorak Shep to Kalapathar to Pheriche
Head to Kalapathar for the highest point and best views of your entire journey. You'll start before dawn in darkness and extreme cold (10 to 14 degrees below zero Fahrenheit). From Kalapathar, you get a 360-degree panorama of the mountains with Everest as the centerpiece. After photos, trek back down to Pheriche for the night.

Landmarks Kalapathar - Day 12
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Trek downhill from Pheriche back to Namche Bazaar, walking through rhododendron and juniper forests. You might see colorful pheasants and mountain goats along the familiar route. Pass through Tengboche before arriving back at Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Trek downhill toward Lukla after breakfast. The steep, rocky terrain is tough on your legs, but after crossing bridges over the Dudh Koshi River, the path levels out and becomes easier. Once in Lukla, take time to rest and reflect on the past two weeks.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Catch an early flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for shopping and picking up souvenirs in Kathmandu. This evening, you'll have a farewell dinner to celebrate finishing the trek.

Kathmandu
