  Kenya- Wow! What can I say? For starters I just want to thank our guide Lucas (the owner and manager of Indy Escapes). He was absolutely incredible and made me feel so Comfortable and safe as a solo female traveller. It was so lovely also being apart of a small company tour that is so unique and well thought out, rather than a large company with many guides. He ordered the trip in a way that could include extreme bucket list moments (such as feeding giraffes, patting elephants and watching cheetahs attack in the Masai Mara) and also relaxing times by the pool with friends while still experiencing true Kenyan culture. We got to visit a school, a special school, a slum and also be apart of several meaningful projects which felt very special too. We had such a brilliant group of 20 likeminded people, had lovely accommodations and ate such delicious and traditional food. I couldn’t recommend this trip, Lucas and Indy Escapes enough for a bucket list safari adventure! Uganda- I was recently one of Indy Escapes Uganda and Rwanda gorilla trekking tours and let me tell you, it was nothing short of mind blowing. If gorilla trekking is on your bucket list, you must join this trip! Firstly, our guide Lucas (also the creator, manager and CEO of the small travel company) was incredible and made me feel so so safe as a female solo traveller in Africa! He was such a mature, organised and fun guide with so much knowledge on Rwanda and Uganda. The gorilla trekking day was so surreal and the other guides involved were also great. This trip has a little bit of everything and is not too rushed either. I really loved this trip and would do it again!Show more

  One of the most amazing weeks of my life hands down! Indy escapes has created such a safe, inclusive space for travellers to get a well rounded trip with relaxation, amazing food, amazing excursions and a social like minded group of people. I did the Turkey Sail and it was the perfect mix of activity and also downtime to enjoy the beautiful coastline - a highlight for me, something not included was the captain of the boat taking us to feed and swim with turtles - one of many examples of the boat crew going the extra mile for our enjoyment and experience 10/10 would recommend and I will 100% be going on another Indy escape!Show more

  This is my second trip with Indy Escapes, and as a solo traveler, I couldn't be more impressed. Lucas and his team consistently go above and beyond to create an experience that feels both personalized and welcoming. After an amazing Croatian island-hopping adventure last year, I just completed another unforgettable journey through the Turkish islands. Traveling solo can sometimes feel daunting, but Indy Escapes made it effortless. The group was a perfect mix of like-minded individuals, and by the end of the trip, we were already discussing our next adventure together. The sense of camaraderie was immediate, and I never once felt out of place or alone. One of the standout aspects of Indy Escapes is their attention to detail and care for each traveler. Even before the trip began, the team was in touch, making sure my plans were in place and that I felt comfortable. On the last day, they went above and beyond to ensure everyone had onward plans sorted out, offering recommendations and advice for those staying on in the area. Communication throughout the trip was flawless. We were kept informed about everything, from the day’s itinerary to any changes that enhanced our experience, like avoiding crowded sites or adjusting for the weather.   In October 2023 I went on a group tour with Indy Escapes to Kenya. I don’t usually like group tours so I was a little apprehensive. Would I get to experience the real Kenya? What if I didn’t gel with the rest of the group? I had nothing to worry about. The trip was phenomenal, in fact it sits up there with the top trips I’ve ever been on. The tour leader, Lucas Chesterton, was fabulous. We had a truly immersive experience working with NGOs in Nairobi and before then heading to the Masai Mara on safari. The group was fun, the pace was right and I enjoyed Lucas’s guiding style so much that I then booked a second trip with him for 2024. I could not recommend Lucas and Indy Escapes any more highly.Show more
