- Day 1
Düsseldorf to Málaga
Your flight from Düsseldorf arrives in Málaga, and after a short drive you'll reach this vibrant coastal city on the Costa del Sol. Depending on when you land, there's a chance to visit the birthplace of Pablo Picasso and walk around a bit. The day wraps up with a welcome dinner in the evening, so you can meet the group and get oriented.

Málaga to Granada
You'll head to Granada for a guided tour of the Alhambra, one of the region's most important historical sites. From there, check out the cathedral and the royal chapel, then wander through narrow streets with Arabic-style bazaars in the old Moorish quarter of Albaicín. Before finishing, you'll reach the San Nicolás viewpoint, which gives you great views back over the Alhambra and the surrounding area.

- Day 3
Poqueira Valley
Head south across the Sierra Nevada into the Alpujarras region. You'll start from Pampaneira, one of the white villages, and hike through the pueblos blancos route along the Río Poqueira river valley. Spain's highest peaks come into view as you walk. Later you'll settle in at a family-run mountain guesthouse for the night.

Pampaneira
This circular hike takes you to the upper water channel at around 2000m/6560ft, where you can see how Moorish irrigation systems still shape the landscape in Andalusia. Mountain streams run through the area, and the panoramic views of the Sierra Nevada stretch out all around you. The route back to Capileira uses old shepherd's paths and forest tracks, mixing history with natural scenery.

Tahá de Pitres - Trevélez
Set out on a hike with views of the Poqueira gorge and surrounding villages below. The route takes you up through holm oak forests around a mountain ridge before descending toward Pitres. After that, you'll walk through the original village paths to Busquístar, then catch the bus to Trevelez, Spain's highest village and known for its jamón serrano production. You'll stay overnight in a hotel there.

Trevélez to Cádiar
The hike from Trevélez to Cádiar climbs through holm oak and pine forests with great views back toward Trevélez and the Sierra Nevada. After a lunch break partway through, you'll descend through small villages into the Guadalfeo valley, where almond and olive plantations cover much of the land.

Cádiar to San José
You'll drive toward the Mediterranean, stopping at Desierto de Tabernas, Europe's only desert with its lunar landscape of rock formations and canyons. This area has been used as a filming location for many Westerns and action films. Later, the bus continues to San José in the Cabo de Gata Nature Park.

San José
Explore the Cabo de Gata UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in southeast Andalusia, where multi-million-year-old volcanic rock creates an unusual landscape. The hike follows a quiet stretch of coastline with pristine bays and natural beaches that don't get crowded with tourists.

Málaga
After breakfast, you'll travel back to Málaga. The afternoon opens up for you to walk around the city on your own and check out whatever interests you. Stay overnight in a hotel.
