    Asked on July 13th, 2024

How hard is hike of scale from 1-10? do you have picture of campground?

    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten July 2024

The difficulty we rate this tour is a 4/5. In your case an 8/10. Some examples of campsites are: Waterton Townsite Campground, Boulton Creek Campground, Lake Louise Campground. We do not have any photos to provide but these campsites have many online.

  • B

    Barry

    Asked on June 12th, 2024

I'm considering joining this tour for the 28 July group. I'll know exact dates I'm in the region. How soon do you expect this group to be full? I'm an avid hammock camper. I'm wondering if it is possible (trees available) during this tour.

    Group size
    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2024

The July 28 departure still has 9 spaces available. You can place a 48hr hold on the tour. Hammock camping is possible at Boulton Creek Campground and Lake Louise Campground, though Waterton Townsite Campground is less forested.

    • B

      Barry

      TravelerWritten June 2024

I noticed all dates are sold out on the website but still see availability. Is this just an error on tourradar's site?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2024

The best way to ensure your space is to create a hold on your spots. It's complimentary and valid for 48 hours. The July 28th departure is available but will likely go on request soon.

    • B

      Barry

      TravelerWritten June 2024

What does 'this will likely go on request soon and it will be a different process to book' mean?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten June 2024

Tours go on request around 1 month in advance. Our local office must check availability on components like accommodation, internal flights, day trips. This can take 3-5 days to confirm, so we recommend booking as far in advance as possible.

    Asked on February 5th, 2024

I am interested in this trip to join with my son, he is 20 years old. My son wants to know if there are bookings with people from his age. And I have a bit fear of heights, do you think this might give some troubles?

    Age Range
    Group size
    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2024

This tour is ideal for travellers of all ages, although he may be the youngest. On this specific departure, only one other traveller is confirmed so far, and they are born in the 1990s. Regarding heights, this shouldn't be too much of an issue - if you want to opt out of any activities you are able to do that locally if needed.

    • D

      Daniela

      TravelerWritten February 2024

Can you tell me if there booked more younger travellers on the trip starting on Sunday 28th of Juli? Or on Friday the 2nd of August? Can you tell me if there is a minimum group size?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten February 2024

The other two departure dates mentioned only have one or two travellers confirmed so far as well, and these are born in the 1950s-70s. We would generally advise not to worry too much about the other travellers, as this is an active tour it does often attract travellers of all ages. The maximum is 12 people per group on this trip.

    Carlos

    Asked on May 5th, 2023

In sep there seems to be only 1 date will there be more tours later? If we book only 2 people tour but later 3rd person wants to join - can you accomodate us in same room or should that person choose twin-sharing? How active is this adventure as we are not too sure about hiking trekking - is it extensive? Walking is not an issue at all.

    Group size
    Tour Details
    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2023

We only plan on running one tour in the month of September, and currently have four spaces remaining. The tour would be twin share so if a third traveller did wish to join, they would be required to twin share with another traveller or add a single supplement to ensure they have their own room. It is an active tour, category 4 out of 5, meaning that it is demanding but suitable for most fitness levels.

    • C

      Carlos

      TravelerWritten May 2023

So for booking do we have to take twin sharing or triple sharing as we are a group of 3. Alternatively can 2 people book first. When the 3rd person decides he will select twin sharing(cannot pay single price) - will that be allowed?

    • G AdventuresOperatorWritten May 2023

Our tours are based on twin share rooming. If you have an odd number of travellers in your party, let us know if you/someone would be happy sharing with another solo traveller of the same gender on the tour free of charge or If you would prefer to add a single supplement, we can do so for an additional $359 USD. The single supplement can be added after booking but is subject to availability and can sell out.

This tour has a physical rating of 4/5, so it is demanding. There are some high-altitude hikes or more strenuous activities, but accessible to most healthy travellers. The most difficult being the Bertha Lake Trail hike on day 1 due to the switchbacks. It is a total of 11km and has a steep climb.
