I am an international student on an F-1 visa. I am interested in the trip departing on March 9th. I would like to confirm whether the 2026 National Park International Visitor Surcharge is included in the fee, and whether the trip is actually available.

At the moment, there has been no formal update from the parks regarding how the new policy may apply. Once additional information becomes available, we will share an update with passengers if needed. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will communicate any confirmed changes as soon as we receive them. This trip is currently on request which means when a trip is close to departure, it may move into request mode. This means we need to check with our local team to confirm that all suppliers, including accommodation, transport, and activities, can still be secured. The process usually takes around 3–4 business days. Full payment is required to begin the request. If the request is confirmed, your place on the trip will be secured, and you'll receive your booking confirmation as normal. If we're unable to confirm the request, you'll have the option to transfer your payment to another trip or receive a full refund.

What time do we have to arrive by in order to make the first meeting?

You will need to be in Las Vegas to meet the group for an 8am welcome meeting. WELCOME MEETING TIME: 08:00 WELCOME MEETING LOCATION: Golden Nugget - Claim Jumper Restaurant. We do recommend that you arrive the night before, due to the early start

On the long drive days, what is the schedule for relief/leg stretch stops?

On the long driving days there will be plenty of opportunity to stop and stretch, get food and go to the rest room. You will be travelling in a private vehicle which gives us the luxury to amend the itinerary if anyone needs an urgent pit stop.

I am looking for a hiking trip, I do not see where there is any hiking miles per day (average) is this something you can tell me for this particular trip

This tour is a level 3 Average with some light hikes usually around an hour or two. If you have concerns we can always check with our local team if any portions have any difficult hikes.

Could you please tell me the cost of a single private room

We treat single travellers the same as the rest of the group, which is why we don't charge single supplements. We'll partner you up with a same-sex roommate to ensure you pay the same as everyone else. Don't want to share a room? No problem. since the trip starts in the morning I need a pre-night at the hotel. How to choose the hotel that is close to the pickup location the next morning? I don't understand this part of the trip.

You can book pre tour accommodation at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, for an additional 10 USD per night.

Private transport - do you provide the vehicle or do we need to have a rental car

The private will be a min-van type vehicle, big enough to fit the whole group in comfortably. There will be a driver to take the vehicle from place to place.

Is there a way to link bookings with other travelers?

Yes, you can link bookings by providing your booking numbers and each other's details to our team.

day 2 having walked to the General Sherman, do we have to do more walking or return to the transport? other days when hiking is mentioned - how far, and can it be avoided?

Yes, you will walk back to the vehicle after the General Sherman hike and be transported back to the hotel later. The hike distances are listed on the full itinerary, these cannot be avoided as one of the main activities during of this tour is hiking.

As my first time with G adventures, I was nervous about the tour. These nerves went away almost immediately when I met my CEO and group. The energy was fun and welcoming and I was able to get the most out of the beautiful landscapes in California. I was nervous coming into the trip with the amount of driving to be done but the van was comfortable and the long trips felt relaxing enough to get in a nap or two (which I can rarely do!). My CEO was able to show us the best of the parks and tailor the itinerary to the mood of our group on any given day. Could not recommend g adventures enough and look forward to using this company for future adventures!Show more
