do you have short trip to MachuPicchu (3-4 days) by train for senior?

    Age Range
    Tour Details
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten July 2025

We are very excited to hear from you! However, at this time, the shortest guided tour we offer that includes travel to Machu Picchu by train is the "Peru Explorer" with 7-day itinerary. While it's not within the 3–4 day range, it's thoughtfully designed to balance exploration with comfort and ease for senior travelers. At the moment, we don't offer an exclusive short trip (3–4 days) focusing solely on Machu Picchu by train, especially tailored for senior travelers.

The main mode of transportation during the tour is via motorcoach, but it also includes internal flights and a train for certain segments of the trip.

    Bill

Are the internal flights from Lima to Cusco and return included? Can we get a room with 2 queen beds to accommodate our family of 4 for reduced cost?

    Flights / Transfers
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten December 2024

Yes, for our Peru Explorer tour, the internal flights from Lima to Cusco are included in the tour package. The tour will end in Cusco, the return to Lima is not included. We can provide a room with two twin beds for four people to share. If you prefer a room with two queen beds, we can certainly make that request, but please note it is not guaranteed and will depend on availability at the hotel.

  • S

    Asked on December 10th, 2024

Are transfers to and from the airport included? How much extra is it if I wanted a private room on this trip rather than room sharing?

    Single supplement
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten December 2024

Transfers are not offered through Costsaver. However, we recommend booking through our trusted partner prior to departure. If you will be staying in a single room, a single supplement will be included as well.

    • S

      Scott

      TravelerWritten December 2024

When are hotels confirmed so that i can book airport transfers? Confirmation that all internal transfers included on this trip include hold luggage allowance? I need international flights landing in lima on 14th mar and flying out of Cusco on 20th mar?

    • CostsaverOperatorWritten December 2024

Hotels are usually confirmed about three months before the start of the trip. Internal transfers included in the trip come with Luggage requirements on internal flights - 50lbs (23kg). Guests should arrive on the 14th and depart on the 20th.

Do yall offer custom tours? We want to add a hot air balloon ride, beach, dolphin adventure

    Tour Details
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten January 2024

Regrettably, we don't offer customer tours the available experience we have is listed in our itinerary on our website. You can ask your travel director while on the trip if you don't want to avail of an optional experience you can use it as your free time to check your requested experience.

    • CostsaverOperatorWritten January 2024

Costsaver does not offer Hot Air Balloon rides as the operators do not carry insurance to a level acceptable to Costsaver, nor can we vouch for their safety records. For this reason, we cannot recommend that our guests take a Hot Air Balloon ride, nor can our Travel Directors facilitate it or recommend specific operators. It will be entirely at their own risk if you choose to do so.

    Asked on August 1st, 2022

What time is the meeting with the group on day 1 and also what time does the tour finish on last day. I just need to make sure I can plan on my next itinerary trip.

    Tour Details
    • CostsaverOperatorWritten August 2022

The trip commences on the first afternoon between 3 and 5.00 pm in the hotel lobby where you'll meet your Travel Director. On the last day of your trip it will conclude just after breakfast as there's no sightseeing that day. Please make sure you have checked any vaccination requirements for this region.
