Asked on January 9th, 2025I would like to know if you can give any information about the group of this trip on this departure date. I'm a sporty 53 old lady and I'm a bit concerned there will be only young backpacking adults. Could you share any information or what is your experience?
Stray TravelOperator•Written January 2025At this stage, there are currently 6 people confirmed on this date. We have a big trend in last minute bookings at the moment (majority of our bookings are coming through 2 weeks before the departure) so its very likley this will increase. In terms of ages, this is not something we collect as a required field when we take bookings, so I'm not sure of all the ages on the tour right now! I can see someone in their 30's and someone in their 40's however. On our tours, we operate more on a mind set rather than age range, therefore if you're looking for an adventure through out New Zealand with a focus on getting off the beaten track, staying in some cool hostels and experiencing some fun adventure activities then you'd fit right in!

We won't be operating our Weka tour next Feb/March, however we do have some other tours you might like including our Kaka tour which almost exactly the same as the Weka. These tours aren't trekking tours though, we'll make some stops for optional walks but nothing is mandatory.
