If I need to rent trekking equipment (such as a sleeping bag, down jacket, or trekking poles), do you arrange a stop at a rental shop in Kathmandu before the trek starts? Do you have a recommended packing list or equipment list for this trek that you could send me?

  At the moment, we do not have any bookings confirmed for your departure date yet. However, once you book the trek, we will actively try to match your departure with other trekkers. Regarding trekking equipment, we will provide a sleeping bag for the trek. If you need a down jacket or trekking poles, you can either rent or buy them in Kathmandu before the trek starts. We can help you visit a rental or outdoor equipment shop. If you prefer to buy them, a down jacket usually costs around NPR 3,000–4,000, and trekking poles cost around NPR 1,000. The following are the things which are enough for this trek: Comfortable hiking boots, Down jacket, Fleece/sweater, Long or short-sleeved shirt; often more comfortable to wear than a fleece vest or T-shirt, Warm hiking trousers, Underwear, Warm hat (can be purchased in Kathmandu for a couple of pounds), Wide a brimmed sun hat, 2 – 3 pairs of good quality walking socks, Warm gloves and rain coat, Dark sunglasses, High factor sun-cream, Lip balm preferably with a sun block, Head torch/torch and spare batteries, 1 liter water bottle, Toiletries, Small hand towel
