To see king penguins, you would need to start your trip in Punta Arenas, located in the far south of Chile. From there, the king penguin visit is a full-day excursion that takes about 14 hours in total. Another option is visiting the Magellanic penguins through a navigation to Magdalena Island, which is a bit shorter and also very special.

I am very interested in this trip but see it goes to age 65. I am 75 but am a fit active hiker.

For the tours groups are normally between 12-16 Travelers. For the Panoramic tour, you will have one guide and one driver for the group. For the hikes, you will have 1 guide for Every 5 travelers.

Regarding your questions, you can participate, however, is really important for you to know that the main hike is on the 3rd day, which is recommended for active hikers as the hike for that day is about 8 hours and it will be about 20km round trip. If you believe that this hike is too demanding for you, we can exchange this activity for another one that will suit you better.
