Oslo
This morning starts with a guided tour through Oslo's highlights including medieval Akershus Castle overlooking the harbor, the Royal Palace, and the iconic Opera House. After that you'll walk through Frogner Park to see the distinctive sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. The afternoon is free, so you could stop by Oslo City Hall where the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony happens, or just explore on your own.

Oslo to Ullensvang
Today you'll drive across the Hardanger Plateau, Europe's greatest mountain plateau and the largest national park in the Nordic countries. The mountain scenery is dramatic as you head toward your hotel in Ullensvang. It's mostly a travel day but the views make it worthwhile.

Ullensvang to Bergen
You'll head to Næræyfjord where you can choose to visit Viking Valley if you're interested. The real highlight is boarding the Flåm railway, one of the world's steepest railways, which spirals through tunnels with views of waterfalls and glacial rivers as it descends to Bergen. Later you'll have dinner with your Travel Director at a local restaurant in Bergen.

Bergen
Bergen's exploration starts with a Local Expert at the Fish Market where you'll see colorful stalls selling fresh seafood, fruits, and local crafts. From there you'll visit Haakon's Hall dating back to the 13th century. The afternoon is yours to spend as you like, whether that's visiting composer Edvard Grieg's home or taking Scandinavia's only funicular up Mount Fløyen for city views.

You'll travel along Norway's coastline and sail across fjords passing numerous islands before reaching Stavanger, one of Norway's oldest cities founded roughly 900 years ago. The town blends old world charm with modern flair as the headquarters of Norway's oil industry. Later you'll cruise the Lysefjord to see waterfalls and the iconic Pulpit Rock jutting over the fjord.

The drive around southern Norway's cape is scenic, and by evening you'll arrive in Kristiansand for a walking tour showing the Domkirke cathedral and Nupen Fountain before dinner at a local restaurant.

Aalborg to Odense
Aarhus shows you a mix of youthful energy and historic charm. Your Travel Director will guide you through the city centre showing the City Hall, the ARoS Aarhus Art Museum with its massive interactive artwork on top, and Dokk1, Scandinavia's largest public library. Later you'll stop to tour Jelling and the Home of the Viking Kings Museum before heading to Odense on the island of Fyn for dinner.

Copenhagen to Stockholm
You'll cross from Denmark to Sweden via the Øresund Bridge, Europe's longest road and rail bridge at 16 kilometers spanning over the Flinte channel. You'll pass through Peberholm, an artificial island now home to flora and fauna, and travel through the Skåne region through fertile farmlands and along Lake Våttern's shores to reach Stockholm, which spreads across 14 islands.

Stockholm
With a Local Expert you'll visit Stockholm City Hall to see the Gyllene salen (Golden Hall) and Blå hallen (Blue Hall) where Nobel Prize banquets happen. Then you'll head to Gamla Stan, Stockholm's medieval heart, to see the cathedral and walk the Old Town streets past the Royal Palace. The afternoon is free, and the Vasa Galleon, a 17th-century naval vessel, is definitely worth seeing. This evening you'll board a Baltic cruise to Finland, sailing through the world's largest archipelago while dining onboard in your high-class sea-view cabin as the northern sun stays on the horizon.

Helsinki to Kuopio
You'll travel through Finland's landscape of lakes and forests heading to Kuopio. Once you arrive you'll ascend Puijo Tower for panoramic views that show why Finland is called the land of a thousand lakes. The journey itself gives you time to relax and take in the scenery.

Kuopio to Rovaniemi
Heading toward the Arctic, you'll travel to Lapland, the native home of the nomadic Sami people. Then you'll continue to Rovaniemi, the modern capital of Lapland.

Today you cross the Arctic Circle, a highlight many travelers look forward to. You'll receive an Arctic Circle Crossing certificate. The afternoon is free so you could visit the open-air museum or Arktikum.

Rovaniemi to Tankavaara

Alta
You can start leisurely exploring the town centre or check out the Rock Art of Alta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of prehistoric rock carvings. Alta to Narvik
You'll pass Kåfjord where the German battleship Tirpitz was once stationed, hearing stories about one of the first large-scale battles of World War II. As you travel south you'll see the Lyngen Alps in the distance, 90 kilometers of mountains and glaciers. By evening you'll reach Narvik, surrounded by majestic mountains. There's an optional experience available to ride Sweden's iron-ore railway for stunning views, built over 100 years ago as an incredible feat of engineering.

Narvik to Mosjøen

Mosjøen to Trondheim
Driving through Namdalen you might see salmon leaping upstream to their spawning grounds at the mighty Laksfoss Falls. You'll pass the village of Hell before reaching Trondheim, once the seat of ancient Viking kings and Norway's third largest city. You'll see the Market Square with its statue of Olav Tryggvason and the Nidaros Cathedral. Tyholt Tower rises high above the city and the Old Town Bridge is locally known as Lykkens Portal (Portal of Happiness).

You'll cross the Dovre Mountains through Dovrefjell National Park via lakes and snow-capped peaks to reach Lom, home to one of Norway's most beautiful stave churches. You'll arrive at the mirror-smooth waters of Geirangerfjord for a spectacular cruise beneath towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Your hotel sits in a superb setting overlooking the Norwegian fjord landscape.
