You are absolutely right. Our trip is designed to balance active excursions with free time, allowing you to enjoy the destination at your own pace. The itinerary already combines the activities in a very harmonious way; however, if you are interested in an even more immersive and enriching experience, I would like to suggest the following enhancement. We can better distribute the activities and add a half-day snorkeling tour to Cabo Rosa (Los Túneles), where you will have the opportunity to snorkel twice in one of the most spectacular marine areas of Isabela Island. The updated itinerary would look like this: Day 01: Arrival on Isabela Island. Day 02: Trekking tour to Sierra Negra Volcano (easy–intermediate level, approximately 6–7 hours). The terrain is generally easy to walk, but trekking shoes are highly recommended. You return to town around 2:00 PM, after which we can enjoy the kayaking tour (approximately 2 hours), which was originally scheduled for Day 04. Day 03: Tintoreras hike and snorkeling: a 1 to 1.5-hour easy hike, followed by about 30 minutes of snorkeling in shallow waters, plus a 30-minute boat ride to observe wildlife. After lunch, the biking tour to the wetlands takes approximately 2.5 hours and is easy to moderate, as some sections have sandy terrain. Day 04: Cabo Rosa (Los Túneles) snorkeling tour, including two snorkeling sessions and a short hike. The tour runs from 8:00 AM to approximately 1:00–2:00 PM and includes a box lunch. The afternoon will be free for you to relax and explore on your own. Day 05: Return to Santa Cruz Island, with visits to the Charles Darwin Research Station and the Highlands of Santa Cruz, including the giant tortoise ranch. Both excursions are easy and very enjoyable. Day 06: Transfer out. If you would like to include the additional Cabo Rosa tour, the supplement would be USD 200.00 per person added to the overall program.

If you are looking for a group travel experience, this one is not. You will have organized excursions and will be passed along to different tour guides for the activity du jour but you won't have a group experience to meet other travelers over dinner. Sometimes the number of "guides" gets confusing and overwhelming. At one point there were 3 people plus one's wife with 2 kids walking me across the street and I felt trapped. Accommodations are very basic and vouchers for meals are on the lower end of the scale. However, you make up for it with number of activities if you like a busy schedule. I wish thou there was more snorkeling as that's what Galapagos is all about. Also some activities did not require a separate trip ( flamingos could be combined with a biking tour). Overall, you get what you are paying for.Show more

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 121 days prior to the departure date of your tour.
