An excellent trip with an outstanding tour director (Sarah Rossi) and highly skilled bus driver (Bruno). Plenty of option excursion choices along with very good included tours with knowledgeable local guides. The only down side were two of the hotels - Hotel Marinela, Sofia Bulgaria, and Mercure Belgrade Excelsior - that were in desperate need of refurbishment not to mention functioning air conditioning and bathroom cleaning. Otherwise, great trip.Show more

Of all the companies you could use to book a tour- Trafalgar is the worst of the worst in my experience. Trying to plan a trip through them has been nothing short of a nightmare for the last 6 months. I completely understand the need to cancel trips due to COVID-19 or war, but their handy-dandy "refund" policy only offers you credit towards a future trip- no matter the reason for cancelling, which I find distasteful. God forbid your tour is cancelled too, because if you try and call to rebook you will be on hold for an eternity. The SHORTEST time I've spent on hold waiting to talk to a representative at Trafalgar is 45 minutes. Don't bother booking flights with them either, because we made that mistake, and our agent accidentally booked the tickets with our incorrect names, meaning they needed to be rebooked later at a much higher price than originally agreed upon. And the price difference due to their mistake was charged to our account automatically. That was a terrible surprise to discover when logging into my account after a long day of work! For some positives: the itinerary looks like it will be a lovely time (I will review that separately), and when you actually get ahold of an agent, they are so kind and do their best to help. However, trying to book a vacation with Trafalgar could not have been more of a headache thanks to Trafalgar’s poor management and policies. Like I said, go with another company and save yourself both money and stress.Show more

Payment information
- For any tour departing before August 3rd, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after August 3rd, 2026, a minimum payment of $200 is required to confirm your booking with Trafalgar. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Trafalgar will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Trafalgar" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
