Itinerary

Arrival in Kathmandu
A company representative will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and drive you to your 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. Your guide will go over what's coming next so you know what to expect from the trek ahead.

Kathmandu Valley Cultural Tour
Your cultural guide takes you around Kathmandu Valley's World Heritage sites, including Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa. You'll also see traditional areas throughout the valley. Later you'll meet up with your trek team and other participants for an equipment check and briefing. From there, you'll drive about an hour to Nagarkot for the night.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
Your guide meets you at the hotel early and takes you to the domestic terminal for a 30-minute flight to Lukla. Once you land, you'll meet your trek staff and hand off luggage to porters. Then you start walking on stone trails through forests and past local villages, heading toward Phakding for an overnight stay.

Phakding to Namche Bazar
After breakfast around 7:30 am, you trek for 5 to 6 hours toward Namche Bazar. You'll cross suspension bridges, the Dudh Koshi river, and walk through villages like Toktok, Banker, and Monjo (the gateway to Sagarmatha National Park). After lunch at Jorsale, you continue along rivers and up steep hill trails to reach Namche Bazar by evening.

Namche Bazar Acclimatization
Even though this is a rest day, you'll hike to Everest viewpoint after breakfast to stay active and help your body adjust to the altitude. You'll see views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, and Kongde. Back in Namche Bazar by lunch, you can optionally explore the town. It's the biggest and most colorful bazaar in the Khumbu region with cafes, cybercafes, ATMs, and local shops.

Landmarks Namche Bazar Everest Ama Dablam - Day 6
Namche Bazar to Tangboche
After breakfast, you trek for 5 to 6 hours to Tangboche. You'll see diverse plants and animals while enjoying mountain views. The trail passes through Kangjuma village where it splits toward Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp. You'll cross a suspension bridge at Phunkitanga for lunch, then hike steeply through pine and rhododendron forests. Tangboche has a famous monastery and offers closer views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku.

Tangboche to Dingboche
After breakfast, you take a mild 30-minute downhill hike to Debuche, then trek through shady forests of rhododendron and pine. You'll cross a river on a wooden bridge and climb up to Pangboche, a Sherpa village with Chorten and Mani walls along the route. After passing through Lower Pangboche and having lunch in Somare village, you take a mild walk to Dingboche.

Landmarks Pangboche - Day 8
Dingboche Acclimatization
You'll hike up to 4,600 meters for acclimatization and see beautiful mountain views including Makalu, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. After that, you can explore Dingboche village and rest up for the next day ahead.

Landmarks Dingboche - Day 9
Dingboche to Lobuche
After breakfast, you trek through a wide pass toward Dughla, passing glaciers and the Khumbu Khola river. At Dughla you'll have lunch, then take a steep route for about an hour to reach Dughla Pass. There you'll see stone monuments that honor climbers who died on these mountains. After another hour of hiking, you reach Lobuche for the night.

Lobuche to Gorakshep and Everest Base Camp
You're now very close to Everest Base Camp. After an early breakfast, you hike for 2 to 3 hours to Gorakshep, walking on glaciers and rocky terrain through wide passes. After lunch at Gorakshep, you leave your main luggage at the hotel and take only essentials (down jacket, gloves, sunglasses, water, snacks), then hike through glaciers and rocky ground to Everest Base Camp. You'll see Khumbu Glacier, Khumbu Ice Fall, and mountains like Nuptse, Khumbutse, and Pumori before heading back to Gorakshep.

Landmarks Everest Base Camp Khumbu Glacier - Day 11
Kalapathar and Dzongla
You'll wake early and climb Kalapathar (meaning 'black rock' in Nepali) at 5,644.5 meters, which gives excellent views of Pumori and Mount Everest. After coming back down the rocky trail to Lobuche, you hike for 2 to 3 more hours to reach Dzongla. Along the way you'll pass various lakes, rare flowers, and birds. The full day involves 5 to 6 hours of walking.

Landmarks Kalapathar - Day 12
Dzongla to Dragna via Chola Pass
You wake early and leave Dzongla for more adventure. At 5,360 meters, you'll encounter Chola Pass, one of the popular and challenging mountain passes in the region. Your guide will help you cross it. It's a tough but rewarding crossing that adds real adventure to your trek. You'll then descend to Dragna at 4,600 meters. The full trek from Dzongla through Chola Pass to Dragna takes 6 to 7 hours, so you'll stay at a guesthouse to recover.

Dragna to Gokyo via Ngozumba Glacier
After breakfast, you trek to Gokyo by crossing Ngozumba Glacier, the largest glacier in the Khumbu region and where the Dudh Kosi river starts. Upon reaching Gokyo, you'll have lunch and then explore the surrounding area before settling in for the night.

Landmarks Ngozumba Glacier Gokyo - Day 14
Gokyo Ri and Descent to Dole
You trek to Gokyo Ri at 5,383 meters, a popular hamlet with stone houses and one of the highest settlements on earth. From Gokyo Ri you'll see many peaks above 8,000 meters including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu. Then you head to Dole at 4,040 meters, a naturally beautiful place. The trek from Gokyo to Dole takes 6 to 7 hours of walking, and you'll stay at a guesthouse.

Dole to Namche Bazar
After breakfast, you trek for 6 to 7 hours back to Namche Bazar. You'll pass through forests and might spot rare mountain wildlife like musk deer and damphe. You ascend to Mongla, then descend to Kanjuma where you split off earlier on the way to Everest, before making the final climb up to Namche Bazar.

Namche Bazar to Lukla
After breakfast, you trek the final descent back to Lukla. The hike is mostly downhill, crossing multiple suspension bridges and following the Dudh Koshi river while passing through local villages. You'll stop for lunch at Phakding, then continue at a comfortable pace to reach Lukla for the night.

Lukla to Kathmandu and Farewell
You'll have an early breakfast and fly back to Kathmandu. The company vehicle will escort you to your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, you'll have a farewell dinner at a Nepali traditional restaurant to celebrate completing the trek.

Departure
Your guide will take you to Tribhuvan International Airport 2 to 3 hours before your scheduled flight time. The trek ends here as you head home with memories from the mountains.
