    Yes, we do have an option available for your preferred date of October 4, 2026, although availability is currently quite limited. We can offer you the following alternatives:
    
    Option 1: Add a panoramic circuit for an additional USD 55 per person. We would also manage the request for Circuit 3B through the last-minute ticket release system at no additional cost. This way, you could enjoy both a panoramic experience and access to the main archaeological sector of Machu Picchu, providing you with a much more complete visit.
    
    Option 2: Keep only Circuit 1A, which is currently the available option for your date. This circuit focuses on the panoramic experience and the most iconic views of Machu Picchu.

    What is the temperature range for the Salkantay Trek during the last week of September?
    According to climate records and meteorological studies of the area, the last week of September is considered one of the best periods for trekking, as it falls within the dry season. However, because the route crosses different altitude levels, temperatures can vary considerably.
    
    At Soraypampa (approx. 3,800 m / 12,467 ft), during the night and early morning, temperatures can drop approximately between -5°C and 5°C.
    During the day, with sunlight, temperatures are usually around 10°C to 20°C.
    In lower areas along the route, such as the cloud forest region, temperatures can be warmer, approximately between 15°C and 25°C.
    
    We recommend bringing appropriate clothing for changing conditions, including thermal layers, a warm jacket, a rain jacket, and cold-weather accessories.
    
    How many people are generally in a group?
    Our groups usually have a maximum of approximately 12 to 16 passengers, depending on the departure date and availability. This allows us to provide a more personalized experience and maintain good organization throughout the trek.
    
    What is the typical age range and physical ability of those on this trek?
    We welcome travelers of different ages. Our groups generally include participants ranging from young adults to older travelers with good physical preparation.
    
    The Salkantay Trek is considered a challenging trek, mainly due to the altitude and the distances covered each day. It is not necessary to be a professional athlete, but we recommend having a good fitness level, doing some previous hiking preparation, and being properly acclimatized before starting the trek.
    
    We also have professional guides who are prepared to support the group throughout the journey, and we carry safety equipment to assist in case of any situation.

    Unfortunately, there is no availability left for Circuit 2 on November 11th, 12th, and 13th, as tickets are completely sold out. We can offer you the tour with access to Circuit 3B, which covers the most important areas of Machu Picchu. On November 13th, you could add Circuit 1B as an optional extra for USD 45, which would allow you to access the panoramic viewpoint and take the famous photo.

    It's recommended to arrive in Cusco at least one day before your tour begins to allow for acclimatization. We can arrange a hotel pick-up for the afternoon before the trek starts.

    I'm a keen hiker. Can you propose anything specifically to add on at the end, either from Aguas Calientes or a separate trek starting from a Cusco pickup? A trek involving the Sacred Valley and/or Rainbow mountain sounds interesting?

    Rainbow Mountain + Red Valley costs $160 per person in group service. Maras Moray Tour is $150 per person (group service) or $250 per person (private service). This includes visits to Moray archaeological site, Maras Salt Mines, and a local market in Chinchero.
