Would it be possible for you fit 1 more person on the 11th, 12th or 13th November tour?

Unfortunately, there is no availability left for Circuit 2 on November 11th, 12th, and 13th, as tickets are completely sold out. We can offer you the tour with access to Circuit 3B, which covers the most important areas of Machu Picchu. On November 13th, you could add Circuit 1B as an optional extra for USD 45, which would allow you to access the panoramic viewpoint and take the famous photo.

Is the tour still has available spot for 1 person on May 10th, 2025?

Unfortunately, we currently do not have availability for the dates you requested. However, we would like to offer you the option of rescheduling your reservation for alternative dates. The next available dates would be starting from the month of June.

Do I need to fly into Cusco a day before the tour begins?

It's recommended to arrive in Cusco at least one day before your tour begins to allow for acclimatization. We can arrange a hotel pick-up for the afternoon before the trek starts.

I'm a solo traveller interested in your 5D Ultimate Salkantay Trek. As a Solo traveller, when would you be able to confirm my trek booking so that I can secure my flights from the UK? I would also be interested a personalised quote, starting the group Salkantay trek as early as possible and after visiting Machu Picchu, trekking the main tourist route back to Cuzco.

We have availability for the Ultimate Salkantay Trek starting on May 4th, 2025, as part of a group service. You need to confirm your booking at least 3 months in advance, as May is a high season, and permits for Machu Picchu tend to sell out quickly.

I was wondering if you had availability for 2 people starting anywhere between October 15th and October 18th? I do not want to book if we are unable to enter Machu Picchu on the final day.

What kind of luggage is advisable for the trek?

Traveling with a hiking backpack is advisable as we provide a duffle bag for your trek essentials. Hard cover suitcases are not recommended.

Group sizes can vary, but they are usually kept to a maximum of 15 hikers to ensure personalized attention and safety.

The Salkantay Trek was a wonderful way to experience the Andes, the cloud forest, the local people, and ultimately Machu Pichu. It was challenging but very rewarding at the same time. Our tour guide, Wilber Ocon, was extremely well prepared, thoughtful, and made sure all of our group was taken care of at all times. He made the experience even more exceptional with his knowledge of the Inca history, the birds, the plants, and he was able to explain everything related to the Incan historical sites and ruins along the way.   I'm a keen hiker. Can you propose anything specifically to add on at the end, either from Aguas Calientes or a separate trek starting from a Cusco pickup? A trek involving the Sacred Valley and/or Rainbow mountain sounds interesting?

  Rainbow Mountain + Red Valley costs $160 per person in group service. Maras Moray Tour is $150 per person (group service) or $250 per person (private service). This includes visits to Moray archaeological site, Maras Salt Mines, and a local market in Chinchero.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before June 20th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after June 20th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Alpaca Expeditions. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and Alpaca Expeditions will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "Alpaca Expeditions" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
