    Arusha to Machame

    Start point
    Arusha, Tanzania (hotel pick up, 07:30)

    Breakfast (Early breakfast at hotel in Arusha), Lunch (Packed lunch at welcome lunch stop halfway through hike), Dinner (Dinner prepared at Machame camping area)

    • Pickup from Arusha hotel
    • Drive to Machame Village
    • Hike through rainforest to Machame camping area (approximately 18 kilometers, 7 hours hiking time)

  2. Day 2

    Machame to Shira

    Meals

    • Ascend rocky scree path to Lava Tower

    Mweka to Arusha/Moshi

    • Staff celebration with dancing and singing at Mweka Camp

    • For any tour departing before July 1st, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after July 1st, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with Safari Soles tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
    • Some departure dates and prices may vary and Safari Soles tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
