  Steppe Dogs Adventures was truly a pleasure to work with and I can honestly say both myself and my friends would have not reached Uhuru Peak without their hard work, professionalism, and dedication to their clients. The service was perfect and professional. From the beginning, Frank the manager, explained to us that there was a problem with paying the park fees as it was a holiday where the Tanzanian banks were closed. However, he quickly solved the issue and we proceeded without any problems. This showed my Frank's and the company's professionalism and dedication to conduct honest business. They are all about provided the best service possible. As Frank said, the company may be small, but they need to be perfect in order to grow. I think the service was perfect and I would recommend Steppe Dogs Adventures to anyone looking to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. Steppe Dogs Adventures charges a very reasonable price for the climb that is cheaper than most other companies, yet you still get the same quality of service and reach the same point as everyone else. Additionally, our guide Walter, was incredibly personable, charming, humorous, and helpful. He talked with us almost nonstop throughout the entire climb, explained Tanzanian culture to us, taught us some Swahili, and informed us of the national parks and animals in Tanzania. He was truly a guide. It felt like we were getting history, geography, and to allergy lessons as we climbed on. He also helped carry our bags and pushed us to finish the peak when we struggled. We really could not have done it without Walter and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone as a guide. Asante sana Walter and the team!!Show more

  Hello, I did the 6 days Lemosho route, which I would recommend at all to anyone. With that being said, Steppe Dogs Adventures did a great job in making sure this was a journey of a lifetime. The administrative team was very understanding and accommodating, as they made sure I had all the necessary equipment, transportation, and living arrangements I would need. The team that took me up Kilimanjaro was even more amazing. The first couple days were not too bad, but as I progressed up the mountain, it became harder and harder. My guide, however, was extremely patient, and he always made sure that I had enough food, water, and breaks. If my backpack became too heavy, he would help me carry it as well. The porters were also extremely helpful as they were always prompt and kind when it came to carrying the rest of my bags and providing me meals. Without them, there would have been no way I could've made it to the summit. Overall, great experience and I cannot recommend this company enough to future climbers!! Asante sana :)Show more

They were attentive to my needs. When I needed something the staff made sure I had all my equipment. The office staff were very respectful and helpful with payment.
