You must join the group for Upper Mustang trek as this is restricted area and minimum 2 travelers are required. Yes you can join from Kathmandu and leave the group in Jomsom or Kagbeni.   We are very interested in the 14 days Upper Mustang Trek. Every time we look at the trip and price breakdown we are charged a single supplement for both travellers which doesn't make sense.
