Day 1
Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park
You'll get picked up from the airport, ferry, or your hotel and drive about 5 hours to Mikumi National Park. Stop in Morogoro during the drive to grab lunch, then head out on an afternoon game drive. By evening you'll be at the hippo pool watching the sunset and seeing animals come down to drink.

Mikumi National Park
Today you're spending the full day on game drives throughout Mikumi National Park with packed lunch boxes. You'll be looking for lions, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra, and elephants, plus over 300 bird species. Wild dogs occasionally move through the park too, so keep an eye out.

Mikumi to Udzungwa Mountain National Park
After breakfast you'll drive about 1.5 hours to Udzungwa Mountain National Park for mountain trekking. The trek takes you through the park where you can see the 170-meter Sanje waterfall and spot red Colobus monkeys that live only in this area. You'll have a picnic lunch in the bush and get a chance to swim in one of the waterfall plunge pools.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before February 12th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 12th, 2026, a minimum payment of 10% is required to confirm your booking with African Pangolin Safaris. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and African Pangolin Safaris will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
- The following cards are accepted for "African Pangolin Safaris" tours: Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express or PayPal. TourRadar does NOT charge you an extra fee for using any of these payment methods.
