Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding
You'll catch an early morning flight to Lukla, where the Everest trek officially starts. Once you land, your trekking team meets you and then you'll begin walking on a trail that gradually descends through Cheplung village. This gives you views of the sacred Mt. Khumbila along the way. After passing through, you continue down to Phakding where you'll spend your first night in the mountains.

- Day 2
Phakding to Namche Bazaar
The trek takes you through a pine forest along the Benkar valley, and you'll cross the Dudh Koshi River while passing through Chumoa and Monjo villages. You enter Everest National Park from there, then cross a suspension bridge past Jorsale village. After that, you ascend a steep trail alongside the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers, which brings you to Namche Bazaar, the largest town in the Everest region.

- Day 3
Namche Bazaar
You'll spend this day exploring Namche Bazaar, which has shops, restaurants, ATMs, and a colorful market. If you want more activity, you can hike up to Sagarmatha National Park for sunrise views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. Another option is trekking to Khumjung village for a day hike. While you're in the area, you can visit the Hillary School and a monastery that houses a yeti scalp.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Starting from Namche, you'll take an easy walk to Phunki, then ascend to Tengboche village and its famous monastery, the largest in the Everest region. The monastery sits within the UNESCO World Heritage Sagarmatha National Park with panoramic Himalayan views all around. If you arrive by 3:00 pm/15:00, you can observe a Buddhist religious ceremony taking place.

Tengboche to Dingboche
You'll trek through lush forests of birch, conifer and rhododendron trees with views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam visible throughout. You descend through Debuche, cross the Imja River to Pangboche where you see the Pangboche Monastery, then continue through the Imja Valley. After that, you ascend to Dingboche, which sits among barley, potato and buckwheat fields.

- Day 6
Dingboche
This is a rest day for altitude acclimatization. You can explore Dingboche at your own pace, or if you want to stay active, you have optional guided hikes to higher elevations available. These hikes help with continued acclimatization while giving you mountain views.

- Day 7
Dingboche to Lobuche
You'll ascend the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier through boulder-strewn slopes to Chupki Lhara ridge, which features prayer flags and memorial shrines for fallen climbers. From there you continue across the Khumbu Glacier moraine with views of peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, Mahalangur Himal and Mt. Nuptse.

- Day 8
Lobuche to Everest Base Camp to Gorak Shep
You'll trek to Everest Base Camp on mostly glacial paths, though some sections meander over rough terrain. The incredible melt patterns and ice towers of the Khumbu Glacier are visible throughout the hike. From the base camp, you get views of Nuptse, Khumbuste and Pumori. After spending time there, you return to Gorak Shep for the night.

- Day 9
Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar or Everest Base Camp to Pheriche
Wake early for a hike up Kala Patthar on a steep trail in cold conditions with possible chilly winds. You'll see summit views of Mt. Everest and surrounding Himalayan peaks. After returning to Gorak Shep, you have an alternative option to visit Everest Base Camp with an early breakfast instead. Either way, you'll descend about 2,000 feet in elevation to Pheriche for the night.

- Day 10
Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
You'll descend about 2,000 feet in elevation on a trail with numerous ups and downs through hillsides of rhododendron and juniper trees. You cross a bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and trek through pine forest where you might spot mountain goats, pheasants and other wildlife. After passing through Sansa with views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Nuptse, you reach Namche Bazaar.

- Day 11
Namche Bazaar to Lukla
You'll trek downhill on rocky terrain alongside the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges while passing by monasteries and villages. Eventually you reach Lukla, where you rest for the remainder of the day as your final night in the mountains.

Lukla to Kathmandu
Catch an early morning flight back to Kathmandu after your mountain trek concludes. Once you arrive, you can rest or explore the city for souvenir shopping. Your guides can help you with both shopping and sightseeing around Kathmandu.
