Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Cusco
You'll arrive at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport and head to your hotel in Cusco. After settling in, the afternoon is yours to do what you'd like, whether that's walking around the city or booking an optional tour if something interests you. This evening, dinner is at Pachapapa restaurant where you'll have a three-course meal featuring authentic Andean cuisine.

- Day 2
Cusco Gastronomic Tour
Today you're doing a gastronomic tour to explore Cusco's food culture and production methods. The morning takes you to three different locations: the Chocomuseo, Coffee Museum, and Pisco Museum. At each stop, you'll learn how things are made from raw ingredients through to the finished product, and you'll get to taste what you learn about. By afternoon you'll head back to your hotel.

- Day 3
Maras and Moray
You'll travel to Maras to see an Inca salt exploitation complex that's still operating today, where salt extraction and trade shaped the Empire's economy. After that, you're heading to Moray to check out mysterious circular concentric platforms that historians believe served as an agricultural research center. Lunch happens at UNU Tiobamba restaurant in Chinchero, and then you'll return to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

- Day 4
Pisac and Ollantaytambo
Start the day at Pisac market where local vendors sell textiles, carvings, and Inca artifact replicas. Then you'll explore Ollantaytambo Park, an important example of Inca urban planning that Pachacutec rebuilt in the 15th century and one of the most significant Inca archaeological sites. For lunch, you'll participate in making and learning about pachamanca, a traditional Inca dish cooked in underground hot rocks, which takes about 2 hours total.

Machu Picchu
After breakfast you'll transfer to Ollanta train station and board a train to Aguas Calientes, which takes about 1.5 hours. From there, you'll go to Machu Picchu, the UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders. You'll explore this Inca masterpiece that Pachacuti built as a sanctuary and resting place. Later, you'll return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch at Café Inkaterra, where you can see the Vilcanota River, then take the train back to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
