I came across your guided tour 11 days of Bolivia highlights and I have a few questions: 1) What is the usual age range for this tour? 2) What is the usual group size for this tour? 3) Where is the welcome meeting held on the first day? that way I can account for it when looking for accommodations 4) on Day 2- do we get picked up at our respective hotels to head to Uyuni?

1. This trip is open for travelers above the age of 15 years. 2. Maximum group is for this trip is 12. 3. Welcome meeting will be at the joining point hotel at 6pm, Qantu Hotel Illampu No. 740, La Paz, La Paz, BOLIVIA 4. Yes, the group will be travelling to Uyuni in private vehicle.

Can this trip arranged as a private tour n if so how much will it cost ?

A minimum of 4 travellers is required. Enquiries need to be made at least 60 days before the proposed start date. If you're able to meet these requirements, our Tailor-Made team would be glad to provide you with a customised quote.

I am considering doing the tour and wanted to ask what the crowd would be like. I prefer to be in tours with other solo travellers and it would help to get an idea on this. Also, I will be travelling with a big bag so would that be easy given the range of destinations in the tour?

The group can vary depending on the departure. Most travellers prefer to take a small to medium wheeled suitcase or a medium to large backpack. Whatever you take, be mindful that you will need to be able to carry your own luggage, handle it at airports, take in/out of accommodation and perhaps even walk short distances. Generally speaking, we recommend you pack as lightly as possible. You'll also need a day pack/bag for activities and day trips.

What types of visa are available for entry?

A stamp or sticker visa must be obtained from your local embassy or consulate before traveling.

What additional costs should we consider that aren't included in the package?

Be prepared for long travel days, and prepare yourself for the altitude sickness as it can get pretty tough - I would advise to start in Peru, or a lower altitude country to acclimatise for a few days first. It would have been great if the tour started in Sucre and ended in La Paz, as this would have been a better route to acclimatise. Henri, our Intrepid tour guide was amazing, he put effort into the care and safety of the group and fun to be around!Show more

Not enough attention to the high attitude issue, I spent 30 hours flight +layover to arrive La Paz, then oxygen was tested, I was told next day I can't go with the team, because of lower oxygen level! But I was not told, if I can't go, what I should do in the next 10 days in La Paz, if intrepid would refund or not???? So it was very frustrated, that I couldn't sleep , that I caught a bad cold it lasted whole trip. I think in your itinerary and before we pay the tour, you should let us know that you conduct daily oxygen test, possible we could not finish the tour, or your website should advise us to take medication early to prevent that issue....Show more

I enjoyed the bus rides as got to see the countryside side of Boliva accommodation was comfortable. All the places we went were good. I would suggest in future maybe include dates for the LaPaz Carnival. I was lucky and although didn’t know about LaPaz carnival I was in LaPaz 5 days before carnival started so got to enjoy it , I think future customers would also. Thank you.
