Asked on December 1st, 2025Does it involve a lot of hiking? In Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain specifically as we prefer less hiking. It says to add for Machu Picchu mountain- is that different than machu picchu itself? We are a family of 4. Do you only have Twin room for 2 people so we book 2 rooms, or is that a big room for 4 people?

The hiking portions are included in both the Rainbow Mountain Tour and the Humantay Lake Tour. However, you have the option to rent horses at both destinations. Humantay Lake: The hike takes approximately 1 to 2 hours to reach the lake. Rainbow Mountain: The hike takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the viewpoint. The package includes the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu via the Classic Circuit 2, which is the most popular route. Additional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are optional and each requires approximately 2 to 3 hours round trip. The available room option is a twin room, which must be booked as such. Only a few hotels in the area offer quadruple rooms, and availability is limited.

The pick up is from the cusco airport. It start there in the morning of the day 1 but you have to make sure to arrive to Cusco at 11 am as much because the city tour starts at 12:30 pm.

This package start in Cusco so you have to take a fly first to Lima - Peru. And then a domestic flight to Cusco. The day one the first activity is the City Tour and in order to dont be in a rush. We recommend to arrive to Cusco around 10 or 10:30 an as much. The city Tour starts around 12:30 pm. For your last day. The same, you have plenty time to take any flight back to Lima.
