My guide and porter made sure that i am happy and healthy at all times and were happy to fulfill special wishes whenever possible.   The most magical experience - I cannot recommend this tour more!! My guide on the trek was incredible (recommend requesting Bishnu!) he was so helpful and attentive and also bought so much fun and positive energy to the trek - he even went out of his way to organise a home baked (or tea house baked) cake for me on my birthday as a surprise. The views were stunning and there is a lot of flexibility in the tour in terms of where you walk to each day. We would generally head off by 7.30/8am and reach the next camp by early afternoon. Bishnu then gave me the option to relax for the afternoon, or we would find an afternoon walk to see some of the surrounding sights and sounds. The tour operator was also super helpful - I had some “travel hiccups” en route to Kathmandu and he alleviated all my stress and was so accomodating. If you’re planning on doing any trek in Nepal, you NEED to book through this company!Show more

Most memorable will be the lovely dogs that followed us from time to time, the home made apple pie and custard at our hotel in Manang at 3500m - best in the world at any altitude, the momo dumplings at a number of Tea Houses, and the last few days of our return to Katmandu that turned into an unexpected adventure. My guide was kind, thoughtful, and generous with his experience and knowledge. Unexpectly I was invited to lunch by the company owner and his wife at their home, which showed me how genuine they were in ensuring my trip went to plan.   I recently completed the Annapurna circuit trek at the end of March and am already dreaming of when I can come back! This was my second time in Nepal and again I chose Nepal Trekking Routes after having an amazing experience three years ago trekking to Everest base camp in a group. This time, I was traveling solo and started with the goal to spend my 35th birthday in the beautiful Himalayas. Right from the beginning, Shailesh was very helpful in explaining the different routes and options and he frequently checked in to see if I had any questions or concerns. He was flexible when a friend wanted to join me for a few additional trekking days at the end of my trip and was happy to make all arrangements at short notice. My guide Nawin and porter Binod were amazing; making sure I felt safe at all times and successfully made it across Thorang la pass. On the many challenging days I was grateful to have their company and expertise and I know I couldn’t have done it without them. Nawin’s knowledge of the route and mountains is second-to-none and he happily answered my countless questions. Having a knowledgeable guide also meant that I could avoid the sketchier sections along the trial, knew what to look out for (falling rocks!) and know when to head off from the main road and onto the trail - all things which I imagine would be hard if you were travelling by yourself. I always felt like I had options on when to stop and rest and an effort was made to ensure I had the best rooms and accommodation. It was also the little personal touches such as fresh fruit with dinner every day that made this trip so special. The trek itself is amazing and I would recommend to anyone seeking adventure and beauty! The peaceful mountainscapes are forever etched in my mind and I’ll never forget the adventure of sliding down the mountains after the pass, looking out onto Annapurna II, seeing a huge avalanche (from a safe distance!) and the crazy-winding roads back from Muktinath. Thank you Nepal Trekking Routes for providing me with an experience I’ll never forget - I can’t wait until I can return!!Show more
