Jenny· July 23rd, 2024We have a wonderful experience with Trek...Show moreTrip date: June 2024- SSSusan· June 11th, 2024I went through TreXperience for my Salkantay tour. They were brilliant! The guides JJ and Yhon were awesome. They really looked after me when I injured my knee. JJ’s knowledge of the Inca history is second to none. We were treated like kings and queens on our tour, and fed accordingly with plenty of food and good quality and nourishing. We were even given hot water bottles on our coldest night. The accommodation and tents were wonderful. I have no hesitation in recommending TreXperience for any future toursShow moreTrip date: April 2024
Steve· May 13th, 2024Our eight day Salkantay Trek through Trexexperience, with guides Clevr and Jilbert was amazing. Clevr did a wonderful job relating the history and culture of the Incas and was very knowledgeable of the local culture and flora and fauna as well. Both Clevr and Jilbert as well as the chef and porters did a great job of supporting our group of eleven. The food throughout the trek was plentiful, varied and always delicious. From trays of popcorn to wonderful soups to amazing entrees to a cooking class making pachamanca and even a birthday cake for one of the group, the chef and his staff produced spectacular meals from the most spartan of conditions. Clevr was very attentive to everyone's needs and wellbeing throughout the trek, attending to blisters and any health concerns. The tents, sleeping bags and pads Trexeperience provided were all new, clean and of good quality. I would highly recommend this trip!Show moreTrip date: April 2024
Gregory· May 11th, 2024Had an amazing experience! Communication withe the tour operator was easy and efficient. Most importantly, we had two outstanding Inca guides that were knowledgeable, passionate, competent and attentive. Klever and Gilber greatly enriched our experience!Show moreTrip date: March 2024

Brittany· May 4th, 2024Incredible trip. This is a tough, multi-day trek that requires strong physicality and mental fortitude. Our guides Klever and Gilbert were attentive and supportive, truly outstanding. Nourishing food prepared by Sinovio and Julio from local ingredients. And a porter staff that made the journey comfortable. Jaw-dropping scenery. This is a trip of a lifetime - do it!Show moreTrip date: April 2024- DWDiane· April 27th, 2024Great experience first touring Cusco and then Sacred Valley prior to starting the Salkantay trail. The food and porters were excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Only con was rge campsite our second night out. It was loud and in a small town. Would have loved to be outside. Also, make prior arrangements if you want to see Sun Temple or Winapichu at Machu Pichu. The tour did not include either.Show moreTrip date: April 2024
- SKSUSAN· January 10th, 2024Tour radar continues to connect us with the best local guides for our adventures. This is the second trip we booked through them. In this instance, Trexexperience for the Inca trail trek to Machu Pichu plus some other day trips was the vendor they connected us with. The guides were more then knowledgeable and helped us through an unexpected health issue with knowledge and care. The accomodations, transportation and food were also excellent. I will continue to use Tour Radar as a portal for future adventures. They do their homework and only connect you with the best!Show moreTrip date: December 2023

Asked on August 7th, 2025Is the hotel or campsite accommodation on the 7th day of the tour? It says 8 days 7 nights so I'm assuming yes but on the itinerary it doesn't list any.
TreXperienceOperator•Written August 2025The 7th night is included the Hotel in Cusco after Machu Picchu, no worries

Asked on May 12th, 2025Just want to confirm if this tour is still available as I have encountered several tours to Peru already filled up but not letting me know until after booking and waiting for the Operator to respond.
TreXperienceOperator•Written May 2025Unfortunately, tickets for Machu Picchu are sold out until June. However, you can still join our group, but you would need to secure the entrance ticket to Machu Picchu on your own. This would also mean spending an extra night in Aguas Calientes to accommodate the schedule. Please note that the Peruvian government releases 1000 additional tickets daily in Aguas Calientes, but they are only available for purchase in person.

Asked on March 19th, 2025If I arrive to Cusco the day before the tour starts, is it possible to add a night at the hotel before the tour, and still be picked up at the airport?
- M
Michelle
Traveler•Written March 2025Also a night after the tour. And airport transfer the next day?
TreXperienceOperator•Written March 2025If you arrive in Cusco the day before the tour starts, we can definitely arrange an extra night at the hotel for you before the tour begins, and of course, we'll also include your airport pickup as part of the service, the cost for the Hotel the extra night should be USD70 per room. Also after the package we can add an extra night at the Hotel.

Michelle
Traveler•Written March 2025Is it possible to add days before and after the tour?
TreXperienceOperator•Written March 2025Unfortunately the Inca Trail will be closed during the month of March. Likewise, the Salkantay Trek is also closed, and we do not yet have a confirmed reopening date. For this reason, we are offering the Inca Quarry Trek as an alternative.

Asked on October 9th, 2024Our mutual customer and her friend are interested in the 8 day Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu adventure. I have a few questions: 1. They heard that the best time for this experience is in May. What is your opinion? 2. Can tours be booked more than 3 months in advance?
TreXperienceOperator•Written October 2024There isn't a specific month that can be recommended as the best for the chosen package. While it's true that the dry season typically runs from April to October, they should keep in mind that May to July is winter in Cusco, and the cold intensifies on the Salkantay route. If they choose a date after these months, there's a chance of rain. Therefore, any time of the year is suitable for visiting Cusco and completing the package, though they should consider that our weather is highly unpredictable. Booking three months in advance is a good timeframe, but keep in mind that April to October is the high tourism season in Peru, and traditional Machu Picchu entries tend to sell out quickly.

Traveler•Written October 2024Regarding the second question, I was hoping to book plane tickets more than 3 months in advance for the best price for tickets. I cannot book a plane ticket unless I book the tour first. Is there a way to book the tour more than 3 months in advance?
TreXperienceOperator•Written October 2024All of our tours and packages for the entire year of 2025 are now available, so you can go ahead and book the tour. Additionally, by reserving now, you ensure that we will secure your entry tickets for Machu Picchu, so you won't have to worry about that. You'll only need to focus on organizing your flights.

Traveler•Written October 2024When I click on the "Book Now" button the website only shows available tours until December 2024. Is this because I am booking through Tour radar? Is there another way to see the available dates for 2025?
TreXperienceOperator•Written October 2024We have enabled the year 2025. You can try again and make your reservation. If you encounter any other issues, please don't hesitate to let me know.
