Is he able to qualify for this tour? What time of year if best for game?

We do not have an upper age limit, but I have highlighted below some things to consider: We drive in safari trucks which are open sided when the canvas sides are rolled up. There are long drives of 5hrs+ up to 9 hrs on Days 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 & 12. Houseboat will have ladder steps so need to be aware and able to manoeuvre. Will need to be able to get in and out of small boats for any of the boat trips on days 2-4. Day 3 includes a 2 hr walk. Rest of the trip will be mostly game drives so as long as you are able to get in and out of these vehicles which have high steps that will be fine. Passengers should also advise the tour leader on arrival of any walking restrictions or need to be near to the toilet block when camping.

Loved the giraffe experience at Thalmo Telele really informative and a lovely way to see the animals with a glass of wine and not be in a safari jeep for a change . Loved the boat ride in Chobe to see the elephants in the water and hippos and all the beautiful birds. Enjoyed the house boat but thought we would travel further in the boat . Loved Victoria falls visit as well and lunch at the Lookout was spectacular. We also did the helicopter ride which was amazing.Show more
