  I had an absolutely amazing time throughout my time in Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. Achut was the most lovely, kind and organised travel agent and I had absolute no doubts he would take care of everything. He prepared all visas and paperwork and was very flexible with the schedule when unexpected circumstances came up. He was able to sort out everything with no problems and made sure I was always comfortable and was satisfied with every part of my stay. The hotels are amazing and every tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. As a solo female traveller, Achut did everything to make sure I had an amazing time.   Don’t even consider going to Nepal, Bhutan or Tibet without first contacting Achut at Manakamana Treks…that’s my simple advice! I just completed (Oct 2019) a three week cultural/sightseeing/day hiking trip in all three countries and Achut and his team were just outstanding in what they arranged and their level of service during the trip. My base in Nepal was an excellent hotel right in Thamel (Kathmandu tourist hub) and Achut met us in the hotel lobby EVERY single time we left on a tour or arrived back at the hotel. He checked if all was well, briefed us on the day and/or next day’s plans and was there even if it was just to see us off to the airport in the car/van. We were looked after as if we were family (including even a lunch and visit to his home) and I had complete confidence throughout the whole trip that everything was being very carefully planned and monitored. In Nepal, we had Keshav, Manakamana’s chief cultural guide, as our guide for the various day trips and visits around Kathmandu and he was absolutely excellent. For the trips to Bhutan and Tibet, Achut does ALL the visas, etc paperwork and works with outstanding local travel companies who provided absolutely excellent hotels and extremely knowledgeable, professional and interesting local guides and drivers who looked after us for the whole duration of the visits. I booked this trip on a single basis as my wife can’t deal with high altitudes. As soon as I agreed to the single supplement, the whole trip was guaranteed…even if I was the only one booked during the period! As it turned out, some days I was alone with my guide while on others I had one other person along and one day three other guests. And Achut was also very flexible on the itinerary and made a few custom changes which I had requested. This is the absolutely the best way to travel; flexible, fully guided for all the sights but free time in evenings and no monster tour buses and crowds to deal with. And all at an extremely competitive price offering excellent value for your dollar. I did not “trek” on the trip, but since both Achut and Keshav both began their tourism careers over 18 years ago as trek guides, I am sure that they bring the same quality and care to their trekking trips. I am totally confident in unreservedly recommending Achut and Manakamana Treks and Expedition Ltd for any travel needs in this part of the world. Wayne Wright, Toronto, CanadaShow more

  I just end my tour and it was an amazing experience! Achut was very kind and organize the trip according to my desires, he was very flexible. He was like a father and made sure everything was good. The Bhutan trip was amazing and the guide, Kado was the best! I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to learn about asia philosophies and see the beauty of the Himalayas.   I am just finishing up my tour and can say that Anchut has done an amazing job organizing it. Everything was on time, he altered an itinerary the way was convenient for me( I was traveling solo most of the time), he was super responsive on all my inquiries, and overall I couldn’t find a better company to travel with on these three countries. Guides were super qualified, great people and I feel myself very safe with them. I would highly recommend this tour!Show more

  My sister and I travelled to Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet with Manakamana Treks (average age 67). It was without question a tremendous adventure and a once in a lifetime experience. The visit to Everest Base Camp in Tibet was a very memorable occasion as was the Tiger Next Monastery in Bhutan. The support personally given to us by Achut and his office was without question outstanding and World class. At all times we were so well looked after and were made so welcome by everyone we met. The guides were excellent and very knowledgeable on the areas visited. The drivers were also very skilled and at no time did we feel uncomfortable with their driving. Also at no time did we feel out of our comfort zone. We would have no hesitation in recommending Manakamana Treks to anyone. We look forward to our return to Nepal.Show more

  I used Manakamana Treks Tour operator Achurt to plan my tour. He made sure that all my needs has been met through out the tour. The guides that I had were very good, specially In Bhutan tour guide Kado. The drivers are very good and the vehicals too. I missed my international flight, which I booked by myself. Achut provided taxi for me to safe return to the hotel. He also allowed me to use his phone to contact my insure in UK and my family members. In a foreign country when you are lost on your own (67 year old woman) Achut was there for me like a family member. Thank you Achut.Show more
